Great Birthday Celebration at The Foundry! We chose The Foundry in Dayton to celebrate my birthday because we heard great things about their rooftop and igloos. Unfortunately, the weather was too cold that day, so they had to close the outdoor area. However, since we really wanted to experience the igloo—even just for a few minutes—our server (Jonathan) went above and beyond, asking the manager if we could use it for drinks and some photos. They graciously allowed us, and it was such a unique experience! We’ve been to many fancy restaurants, but dining and drinking inside an igloo was definitely a first.

Aside from that, the food and drinks were excellent. Everything arrived quicker than expected, even with a decent crowd for a Thursday night. The interior of the restaurant is also beautifully designed, making the whole experience even better. Pricing was in line with what you'd expect for a place like this.

Overall, despite the outdoor closure, the staff made our night special, and we had an amazing time. We’ll definitely be back—hopefully on a warmer day to fully enjoy the rooftop!

We arrived at opening and we were sat right away. It is a beautiful place, with great views. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer, to come out first. Everything came out at once. The crab cakes and service left a lot to be desired. My husband ordered the daily pizza special. It was so salty he couldn't eat it, but after our food showed up the server never returned or he would have changed it for something else. I will say the shrimp and grits were amazing as well as the old fashioned. We might give it another try in the future, but our experience last night was far from what we read in the reviews.

Rooftop restaurant with great downtown and sunset views. Great bar setup. Avocado deviled eggs were by far the best thing I ate. Rueben sandwich was 4/5 (kinda dry) but the upgrade to the hand cut fries was well worth the $3 - they were great! Great date spot and plenty of room for bigger parties.

Great rooftop at the AC Hotel. I had the Cherry Chipotle Salmon and Crispy Cornmeal Calamari. Old-fashioned were my favorite off their cocktail menu. Great atmosphere and cozy place, bartenders made great cocktails!

The foundry was great in every way! The location, the vibe, the energy, the service, the food... all superb! We had the deviled eggs, the cousin Vinny, the margharita, and the reuben; all were 10/10! Def exceeded our expectations! If you're thinking about going, do it! You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is very romantic, I came on a Saturday when they had a wonderful dj playing great music. The food I ordered was crab cakes, and a short rib dish, the short ribs were very tasty,but the crab cakes didn’t have flavor and was fried to long, they tasted like old grease. The rooftop has a amazing view

Had a great time celebrating my sister’s birthday in the igloo! Shoutout to Jonathan and Toby for making the experience extra enjoyable! People order the hangover burger, omelette pizza, and the huge cinnamon roll, which were all delicious.

Food was great! Service was awsome. We originally went for lunch i wanted the pork belly they dont serve it for lunch but the manager made it for my anyways and we got a pizza as well! The both the pizza and pork belly were amazing we will be back for sure. Also if you go outside you can watch the baseball game from the roof!
