We purchase prepared dinners from The Cooking Company frequently. We went in for cookies today, and one of the food preparers never responded when we said hello. I even made a comment that I thought I smelled chili, "yum" and she didn't even respond. Actually turned out not to be chili, but she could have gone with the flow and said "not today!" Nothing. She only made eye contact and mumbled something with my husband as he took the package of goodies from her and proceeded to go to the register. Not good form. We will continue to shop there, but the staff needs to be consistently "on" and be pleasant the shoppers who are keeping the shop in business.

Good selection of food, sandwiches, and salads. They also make dog treats, everything homemade. Had roasted Turkey and it was moist, gravy spot on, and the gingered beets were amazing

Each time I went I ordered oil and vinegar on my sandwich but the same worker would put Balsamic vinaigrette instead. They seemed a bit overwhelmed behind the counter when it was busy.

Line took a while for no apparent reason. Caesar Salad was meh. Lettuce was oldish. They had some good looking dishes but on the pricey side.

I really like the food selection but the customer service is hit or miss. If it’s busy go somewhere else they can’t manage a crowd. I was the only one at the cash out yesterday (10/26/19 2:30) and the worker walked right by me took the tip jar and started counting his tips. He took about two minutes before he came back to the register, and he was very rude. He also charged me $0.10 for a paper bag, which the tax only is on plastic bags. He was not a very nice person. So I wasn’t going to argue with him. He told me the total of $17.02 and then added the tax after he gave me a total. The food is good, convenient, but sometimes the salads look a bit old and soggy. Prices are fairly reasonable. The service is the problem.

I so desperately want to give a good review to this place. Their food is so good and the desserts are amazing. But the service is so chaotic, disorganized and slow. We were in there for 30 minutes just to get two desserts. I don’t get how that place works. You order online I guess but still have ti wait in a line to get food. The deli number system seems to be optional as you can just stand in line and get food ordered. There seems to be tons of employees but only two working. Amazingly inefficient. You spend your whole lunch break just waiting in that place. Their only saving grace is the food is very good.
