We absolutely loved our stay there. Very comfortable bed, awesome wood stove and wonderful tub. We stayed in Jan 2025. Rained the whole time,, river was way up so we stayed in with our sheperds. Would love to go back in the summer! Beautiful property!!

We absolutely loved the Chetco cottage! We took our dirt bikes and went riding for hours into the hills. The cottage is so quiet and cozy! Me and my husband go on trips together throughout the year and this one was amazing! We are planning another trip back!

We held our family reunion here June 2024. Our 16 grandkids ran non stop all day. Beautiful place right on the Chetco River. Our hosts Tony and Ann were awesome. We hold this event every two years at different places and this was the best ever. The property is perfect for any gathering. We will definitely come back here.

Came back for our 4th stay at the Chetco River Inn. So beautiful outside and a cozy cabin feel inside. It was so nice to have room for our extended family to all be together, under one roof. And we loved having the whole family off their devices. When you live off the grid you need to conserve energy and we had no trouble at all with the amount of energy the solar panels provided even though we had every bed full with kids on the floors. We spent the majority of our time on the water but when we were inside there were puzzles and books and games. Had a blast, again. can't wait to come back.

A secret retreat -almost too good to share! Beautiful location 18 miles up the Chetco River from the coast. The water is spectacular and the location is peaceful. The Inn has everything you could need. A great place to unplug -literally (off the grid with no cell service!). comfortably housed our 10 family members with room to spare. we were on the river daily, rain or shine in June. Really unexpected to have such comfort and amenity in such a remote location with private riverfront access. we'll be back.

Absolutely gorgeous grounds! 38 acres of pristine riverfront with great vistas and trails. Unfortunately, during the time we were there, both the main house and rock house had a rodent infestation. People in every bedroom heard them at night. Lots of wildlife to see, fish, newts, frogs, snakes, and bats (19+ in the carport). The kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of eating & entertaining space for large groups. However, the inside was dated and kind of grungy.

The Chetco River Inn plus its "Rock Cabin" made for one of the best Memorial Weekend family reunions ever! One of our group had the foresight to bring an inflatable boat/raft and we spent much of our time bobbing in the river! The crystal clear river water wasn't too cold and the air temp was perfect. That's why this area is considered Oregon's banana belt I guess. The kitchens were plenty spacious and well-equipped; one onsite caretakers were very friendly and helpful; the dogs LOVED stalking salamanders in the river, as did the kids. The property is private, a little tricky to find, and far enough from a town that you'll want to do most/all of your shopping in advance. Our family is made up of 6 siblings and their spouses, kids and dogs, and the Inn plus cabin handled everyone comfortably. Plenty of beds AND BATHROOMS. We ALL loved this place!|The LeGaults et al

Had emailed owner and we went back and forth a few times...made it clear that this was primarily for our very tiny micro wedding and that 3 out of the 6 people would stay overnight.

Marci asked me to clarify how many guests after initially saying that yes, the stone cottage was available for those dates.

I replied that, because my fiance's grandfather had just passed away, we weren't sure if his parents would be able to attend making our group of 6 down to 4 and only 3 of us would stay overnight.

I asked a second time for photos of the grounds and cottage so we could make a decision + the total cost as this isn't on their website.

She gave a very hasty/curt response --
"This is our home and we don't allow daytime visitors or weddings. I thought you said 3 people."

Maybe these are retired folks but I definitely felt some discrimination especially as she initially had a positive response.

I'm a contributing writer for several PNW travel guides with plans to start my own glamping retreat and I'd always welcome weddings, reunions, parties, and virtually all celebrations + providing a warm, inviting, and comfortable "home away from home" for both my community here in southern Oregon as well as all travelers and nomads...
Complete with #vanlife secure parking, mail boxes, lockers, solar powered bathhouse, and multiple soaking tubs(!)

Although I made it clear I would not be recommending her inn; I ended that final response to her with good tidings and to stay safe during these crazy late winter snowstorms we've been having. 🤗

AND...we found the perfect venue (another B&B) closer to home!!
