Her son got her a gift certificate for Caroline's for her birthday. What a thoughtful lad. Although the restaurant was a few miles from home, it was definitely worth the drive. Our server, Kaitlyn, was fantastic. Her wine and appetizer suggestions were spot on. The French onion soup was the best we've had since visiting Paris. Since it was a birthday celebration the Caroline's steak was what the birthday girl wanted while I opted for the Walleye on a bed of risotto. It was delicious! The best I've had since I caught some on Lake Erie so many years ago. We were never rushed, but Kaitlyn watched over us and even brought out a slice of chocolate cake with birthday candles. It was a glorious evening.

Moved to the area a year ago and have been looking for a delicious burger, I have finally ended my search! The sweet potato fries were amazing! My husbands steal and shrimp was phenomenal. Hands down some of the best food in town. We can’t wait to go back and try new stuff.

The ladies in the front could have looked a little more alive and cheerful or welcoming as we walked in. I did ask if there was a dress code (because where I come from, some upscale vibed places do require a dinner dress code) they didn’t seem to confidently give me a yes or no. So we kinda had to scope it out and see what the vibe was. No dress code is required to my knowledge (was literally in jeans and a band tee) but most folks were dressed up a little. Service was quick and our waitress was super friendly. Over all we had a great experience. Apparently it’s best to make reservations.

We stopped in while traveling and enjoyed The Caroline! Wonderful server (Justine). Biggest most delicious pork chop ever! Rye bread with seasoned butter is...wow!

Justine was great, helping us celebrate a birthday. She was very attentive and efficient. Food was very good. Atmosphere was nice, but the music was a bit overwhelming at times (we loved the selection of 80s music though, just not at dinner).

We ate there Friday night and had the Prime Rib Special of the week. It was fantastic! Everyone at our table was super impressed with their meal. Even more outstanding was our server Stephanie. She said she was new but you would have never known that. Despite the restaurant being very busy, she was very efficient and checked on us throughout the night without being intrusive. Knew exactly when to come by. Kept our water and drinks filled. It was a very enjoyable evening for all of us. Thank you!

Visited Saturday 12/14 for the first time. The food and service were excellent. I had the prime rib off the specialty menu and it was delightful. We will definitely be back again soon nice to find a place that has passion and pride in the food they serve. You will taste the difference...

I visited for dinner for the first time on Friday night with my best friend. We had Erin as our waitress and she was fantastic. She took great care of us the entire evening. When I asked for hot tea, she brought out their entire selection which I very much appreciated. She also brought me multiple cups of hot water so I could enjoy more than one tea. When I asked for honey, she brought out a whole small cup of it. We also had many questions about the menu, and she even gave us a gluten free menu for my bff. The food could have been a bit better but overall I would still go back. Especially if I can request Erin because she really made the whole dinner fabulous for us.

My husband and I stopped for a later dinner on our way home. I had the Ribeye with Parmesan Asparagus. It was amazing! Cooked perfectly for me. The soft warm pumpernickel bread they serve is an absolute favorite of ours as well. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We have been here before and continue to go back because it’s always a great experience. The customer service is always awesome and we have never left disappointed. When stopping through Troy you should definitely try The Caroline for a nice relaxing meal. Of course we will return. (I also posted the specialty drink/beer menu below.)
