This is my second stay at The Candler over the past six months. First trip, I booked the King Bed standard room. It was very nice with an upscale bathroom and beautifully decorated. This trip, we stayed in the deluxe one-bedroom suite and it was a DREAM! The extra space and additional amenities were worth every penny. I wasn't necessarily traveling with a need for this purpose, put the work table with chairs/couch would be perfect for business work or lounging with friends. The in-room bluetooth speaker, additional seating area and thoughtful design were fabulous. For example, you can have your guests access the bathroom through a separate door that does not access your bedroom. This would be great for trips where you want to invite people to your room, but still want the privacy of your own belongings and space. The bathtub comes with bath salts and is borderline spa experience. I could go on and on about the fabulous restaurant downstairs and excellent service, too. The architecture in the hotel and decor are beautiful and if you appreciate those things over a more modern feel, you'll really love it. The four stars for location is only because it is a few streets over from some of the main places I visit while here, but it's worth the extra walk every time. I'm adding a night to my stay and moving back to the standard room and already missing the space.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Candler with our two boys. The service is top-notch and the rooms well appointed. We happened to go to the Coca Cola tour and we were reading about the Candler family so it was a treat to stay at this historic hotel.

We had two rooms (one room with 2 double beds and one room with a king) and they were nice enough to upgrade one room to a suite. With this setup, both rooms were able to be set apart by another door and we had basically an apartment to ourselves.

In addition the restaurant was 5 stars. Great food and wonderful service. We would absolutely visit and stay again.

We came to Atlanta for my daughter’s volleyball tournament, Big South. We stayed at The Candler for 4 nights. The Candler is a beautiful historic art deco hotel right in downtown Atlanta. It is an easy walk to Olympic Park, Georgia Aquarium, Georgia World Convention Center and everything in that vicinity. There are multiple restaurants and a CVS within a few blocks. We felt safe walking the area day and night. Rooms are huge with city views. Bathrooms are also huge. Every staff member was friendly, cordial and super helpful. The hotel restaurant, By George, was so exquisite that we ate there 3 of the 4 nights. The food was just incredible and that coming from two foodies! James, the restaurant supervisor, was friendly, knowledgeable and supervised an extraordinary staff, who not only knew their menu, but were so personable and attentive that you wanted to eat there every night! We will most definitely stay at The Candler whenever we visit Atlanta.

We had a great one night stay here. Had a hiccup at check in that was quickly rectified. Room was clean, very nicely decorated, quiet. Location was perfect for walking around downtown and seeing the sights. Valet service was quick and easy. Staff was hit or miss - either wildly nice/professional/accommodating or polar opposite. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great food! Radcliffe and JP were superstars. Will definitely come here again given the chance. We came from New Orleans and the shrimp and grits tasted just like home! The room is super cozy and unique. Lots of places within walking distance!

Excellent stay... room was impeccably clean. Jerome showed great passion for the history of the building with his tour (including the vault where Coca Cola's formula used to be kept). At the front door, Jermaine was a pleasure to talk with and is the perfect person to be the initial contact with the hotel for those arriving.

We had a wonderful stay at the Candler Hotel! We stayed in room 1718, a two room king bed suite. The hotel itself is excellently maintained and it felt like we stepped back in time. From the marble sculptures to the paintings on the walls and the legacy mailboxes, this place is to be appreciated. The valet greeted us and the guys down there were incredibly kind and welcoming. Jermaine in particular went above and beyond to be helpful. The room was large with two sofas, one of which is a sofa bed, a table with chairs, and a coffee bar. I loved the huge windows throughout, offering wide ranging views of ATL. The bed was really comfortable but the sofa bed could be upgraded. The bathroom was huge with a big walk in shower and a huge bath tub. The his and hers sink was excellent and I appreciated the toilet area separate to the main bathroom area. We are breakfast downstairs and it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The brioche french toast was exceptional and my kids loved their three egg omelets. The only bummer, and this isn't on the hotel, was below our view was a fully drained fountain with about 25 homeless people congregating next to it. Police were in the scene arresting one of them. This is a city issue but it wouldn't keep me from booking here again. The Candler is amazing, so glad we stayed there!!

By George restaurant is a great place to grab a fes drinks, eat at the bar or the phenomenal restaurant. The hotel and the rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed and the historic building makes your experience even that more special. Michael the bellman and Paul at the bar are true hospitality employees. I wish all hotels had their personalities and genuine passion for their jobs. Thank you for always remembering my name and warm welcome. So appreciated.
