It was cold and windy on my stay. The view was great compensation. My friends suggested this Inn for my 2nd anniversary of my husbands passing. We spent many pleasant times in Pt Arenas over the years, at a different Inn. I did not want to be at the same Inn we used to stay at. This was a great choice. Very convenient and clean and comfortable.

This inn overlooks a vast field of hills and meadows. One of the pleasures was sitting at the round oak table by the window and watching the weather as it swept through. We were close to Point Reyes Station and hiking, but it was lovely to stay in such a serene spot.

We had a wonderful stay at the Black Heron Inn. The location is easy, the views are magnificent and the rooms are lovely.

We stayed two nights at this rustic but well-kept property. We opted for the more expensive Grand View Suite and thought it was good value for the spacious accommodations and the grand view, with is the same view shown in their promotional materials. We enjoyed the view, the changing light ,and the sounds & sights of birds from the deck during leisurely morning coffee and evening cocktails. It's a great location on the far edge of a quiet and beautiful neighborhood away from Hwy 1 and overlooking the open space between the neighborhood and the southern end of Tomales Bay. We enjoyed the 1.4 mile walk to town for dinner in town through the quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

I can't say enough how much my husband love the Black Heron. It's a quiet retreat for us that is so close to both Point Reyes Station and Point Reyes National Seashore, but removed from the usual tourist hustle and bustle. This was our second visit and we hope to visit again!

Truly one of the most serene and calming places I've ever stayed. The BayView room was very comfortable and the view through the windows was amazing. I saw baby deer multiple times and the stars at night were so magical. Super close and accessible to the center of town as well! I hope to stay here again and couldn't recommend it more.

This is probably close to our 10th time staying at the Black Heron Inn. It is our go to place every time we stay overnight in Pt. Reyes. As always, our two night stay in the Ridgewood Room was great. The room is lovely. The view is fantastic. And the location cannot be beat. We come to Pt. Reyes pretty much every year and we will continue to stay at the Black Heron Inn as long as we can.

Absolutely lovely place to spend a couple of nights in Point Reyes! The location is beautiful and the room was perfect. The view from the room was spectacular and we were able to watch a mother deer and her two fawn grazing in the front. We loved the bathrobes, amazing selection of tea and how well equipped the kitchen was. We will definitely go back should we make our way to the Point Reyes area again. Thank you!!
