This B&B was absolutely lovely. We loved our room, which overlooked the Pacific Ocean and Manzanita Beach. Going to sleep to the sound of the waves crashing was one of the highlights of our stay. The other was the congenial hosts, Dennis and Peggy. They were friendly and helpful and they served us delicious breakfasts each day. They provided us with utensils and plates so we could make a little meal one evening, which was very helpful. The rooms are good sized and include both a shower and a soaking tub (which has a view of the ocean!). The common area of the house was comfortable and homey. They knew their neighbors, which I particularly appreciated since I used to have family that lived next door to them and we were able to chat about mutual connections. Highly recommend this B&B and we are looking forward to a return visit at some point.

The Awtrey house offers guests peace,relaxation,comfort,great views and most of all outstanding hosts. Dennis and Peggy are great conversationalists who are passionate about the B&B experience offered to their guests. Our room was very comfortable and truly offered us a chance to unwind. The breakfasts that were served at a convenient time and the food was delicious and enjoyed by all. |We spent hours walking on the beach and numerous trails around Manzanita Beach, and exploring downtown. There is a beautiful state park located near downtown and is just a short car ride away. |We are looking forward to our next visit to the Awtrey House.

I almost hesitant to write this review because I want to keep this place all to myself. However, Peggy and Dennis were such wonderful hosts and have created such a unique experience that I feel compelled to share this with everyone. The location is beyond stunning, situated in an elevated perch above the Pacific. The rooms are very well appointed with every comfort considered and addressed. The breakfast is by far the best I have experienced at a B&B. The food is delicious, beautiful in appearance and served in generous portions that will keep you satisfied easily until dinner. Dennis and Peggy demonstrate the art of providing a welcoming atmosphere thats makes you feel relaxed while at the same time allowing the privacy you want for an intimate couples experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and are already booked for next summer.

Awtrey House is an awesome experience not to be missed! Owners, Dennis & Peggy, go out of their way to welcome you as guests. The view is breathtaking, the home architecturally gorgeous & their breakfasts are delicious! We enjoyed a nice long beach walk into town. We also had a lovely meal at Neah Kah Nie Bistro. The whiskey bar in town is a nice spot to have cocktails.

We brought our friends to the Oregon Coast for their first time. Stayed 2 nights at the Awtrey House in early June. Expected decent weather. Got rain pretty much the whole time. Absolutely made no difference. Dennis & Peggy's place is magical in any weather condition. All four of us said it was the nicest place we've ever stayed. From the views out to the ocean to the gorgeous rooms & tubs to the fantastic breakfasts to the kindness and generosity of the Awtreys. A little slice of heaven above Manzinita! We all hope to return someday.

Location, architecture, linens, toiletries, eco-friendliness, breakfast, coffee, attention to detail and quality without pretentiousness — are all outstanding. Dennis and Peggy are very friendly, welcoming and open to sharing their stunning home. Loved my morning beach walks and our afternoon hikes and the stars were brilliant at night. Fabulous weekend!
