Visited here before it was really open to the public, the owner was more than welcoming to us while we were in town building the great wall of Douglas. We drank cold beers and told stories at the fire pit. I wonder if Robin still has the old pickup truck? I still have her business card and want to make a trip along the southwest and come by for an overnight or two stay here. Is been 15 or so years I bet the town hasn’t changed, and that would be a good thing.

Four of us stayed here en-route to Mexico. The decor is fascinating, each room is unique and tastefully decorated. We felt we'd been transported to the 1900s, the brass bed steads, the old photos, it was like staying on a film set for a John Wayne film. The owners are hospitable and generous. The made us delicious breakfast burritos to eat on the road as we had an early start. Dogs are welcome also. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

My husband and I stayed here for one of our best nights in Douglas. We had our big dog with us and she was made to feel right at home as well. The owner's daughter took her in like one of her own and made it so easy to travel with her. We got a fabulous tour upon arrival and loved hearing about the history of the building and some of its former characters. They preserved the most beautiful and enchanting aspects of the place and also kept it clean and up to date in terms of amenities. Breakfast the next morning was not only delicious (French toast) but it was pretty much made to order too. We were treated like very special guests and wished we could have stayed an additional night. Next time we go to Douglas, there is no other place we will stay.

Robin and staff go out of their way to make you comfortable. This B&B/ hotel is a treasure right out of the past. The rooms still have the original furnishings, quaint yet comfortable. Hallways are dim during the day because of lack of natural light, but that is the way the place was built. Food was home made and excellent. We will definitely be back. This is the best place to stay in Douglas! You may find a more modern room at the Best Western but it will be commercial and just like a room anyplace. The Avenue hotel is comfy, friendly, and real.

Old West! Woke up this morning in a room that was little changed from when it was built in 1901. Really a wonderful place. Robin gave us a tour and detailed history as we are in love with surviving wild west buildings. Hospitality was great, value is outstanding, treated like family immediately. Go see this before it's gone, these old building cost a fortune to keep alive and there are fewer and fewer genuine survivers left.

The Avenue Hotel and B&B is a lost treasure that needs to be found and enjoyed. On 23 May 14 my wife and I were taken back in time in Douglas, AZ. What a wonderful B&B this place is in Southern Arizona.||||The hospitality is superb, and our greeting was nothing less than royal. We were given very nice hugs from the owner Robin. She is a gem in her own right. Our room was great and we happened to have to whole B&B to ourselves for this overnight stay.||||Our dinner was excellent and was served up by Robin. During dinner she filled us in about the history of the B&B. My wife knew a lot of the people that Robin spoke of because she was born in Douglas, AZ. A great dinner and a fantastic history lesson to boot.||||Robin took us on a complete tour of the B&B. We visited all floors and she explained everything to us. What an amazing hostess. This B&B has all of the amenities that one could wish for and more. We recommend a visit and a stay in Douglas at the Avenue Hotel B&B.||||My wife and I are telling everyone we know about this B&B. We are going to return for another great time and hug from Robin. Great place!

Stayed here for a 10 day hunting trip rooms were great and every room had its own history. Wanda and Robin really make it feel like you are staying in your own home. Food was amazing and there was always more than hu can eat. If you are going to Douglas for business sight seeing or looking for a base camp for a hunting this is the best place in the area.
