Hello, I’m Cameron. i have lived at this complex for over 4 years now and over the course of time it has just gotten to the point where it’s unlivable. vandalism/ car break ins. Neighbors smoking weed or tobacco and the complex does nothing about it even though it’s a “smoke free community”. loud music, front doors slamming shut, paper thin walls, dogs barking constantly, rats and bugs(i can send you pictures of the mice i’ve caught). you do not have a choice over a/c or heat in the spring or fall time when it’s gets hot n cold. they run the complex off radiators/boilers from some time ago. when they “remodel” a “luxury” unit they use the cheapest or quickest put together materials i’ve seen by the cheapest people they can find and it does not get done right. doors falling off hinges/ not sealed, cabinetry and other things are falling apart in less than the 6 months of me being here, handrails falling off the wall when you try to use them, bathroom tubs are not sealed and caulked right. the laundry rooms the complex has available are disgusting and never cleaned. (can also show photos of that) there is rarely a permanent maintenance guy to take care of the complex or available to come fix everything that’s broken when you even ask. tried to move and they told me to break lease that is already broken for multiple violations by them would cost 4 months in rent ($6,500). they have “giveaways” for people who leave the best fake reviews i posted in the photos….PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE THEY ONLY SHOW MODEL UNITS TO NEW PEOPLE LOOKING SO BE CAREFUL ON WHAT THEY SELL YOU!!!

Candie Roberts gets the "super glue" award for keeping the community in top shape. Candie went above and beyond for helping me with the rental process, and addressed any maintenance issues in a caring and timely process. Great location in the FHSD with clubhouse, pool and gym. Pet friendly!

Management is unhelpful, and utility fees are unpredictable. I was initially told the average property utility fee (trash, sewer, water, and gas) would be around $80 monthly, but I’ve consistently received bills between $170 to $204 excluding Duke Energy.

The property is poorly maintained. Residents don’t clean up after their pets, and I’ve even seen dog poop on the staircase with no action from management. Maintenance is unreliable; I have multiple unresolved work orders, and there’s a new maintenance worker every month or two. The building’s washer and dryer are also unreliable.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this property.

If I could leave 0 review I would, I have been trying to view this complex multiple times the older lady candy I believe she told me her name was, that works in the office is rude, I'm also starting to think she might be racist!! I have gone here two times and she wasn't even in the office and it's shut down. I had a scheduled viewing and this lady had the audacity to tell me to view it myself, with a lock box left on the door!!! This is krazy and very un professional!!!

Any and all concerns and problems that I have expressed to the management here have been completely ignored. There has been a used condom lying in the yard here where kids play and dogs get walked. It has been brought to management's attention over a week ago. The laundry room is completely thrashed and has half of the ceiling missing. I can go on for hours.

I have lived here before the alcove team took over and all I can say is I’m glad they did. Our complex is cleaner, the pool this year has been amazing, maintenance that actually fixes issues, renovated apartments, dog parks- you name it and they have improved it. The front office staff is very welcoming and are always eager to help. I’ve recommended living here to anyone looking and will continue to do so!

For the most part, this is a great place to live. It is spacious enough, there are washer dryer connections in most units, it is 15 minutes from downtown and yet it is surrounded by trees and a creek. The management company is very nice and accommodating, and maintenance is phenomenal. The downsides are the price and some of the construction work. They upgraded a lot when the new management came in, some of which was very much needed, but some of which I think was unnecessary. And some of the work wasn’t done hugely well (ie. chips in the flooring, scrapes on the new appliances, and missing molding between the walls and the floor…nothing serious). And they are now charging for storage which was once free. While I wish the rent wasn’t so high, the management team, maintenance, and convenience are what make the apartment. I’d recommend it.
