My wife and I love staying at Air BnBs for vacations and have stayed at 7 of them over the years and i absolutely loved the look of this place. The room was very nice and clean. I loved the location of the place because it was very quiet and had lots to eat near by. Only 5 minutes from the Akron Zoo. Only reason it is getting 4 stars and not 5 is because the bathroom was very small and people kept parking in the AirBNB parking spot.

The architecture is the only high point of this hotel. The furniture is pretty cheap feeling and the complimentary "breakfast" is pretty atrocious. I've had a better stay in a Holiday Inn.

The hotel is in a quieter neighborhood without much to do within walking distance.

I haven't seen the inside since I used to eat their in the 1940's. I went to visit and I was impressed with the people I met in the residents in the restored lobby the large out door flower laden inner private courtyard . When I went to my daughter's apartment it was nicely decorated and spotless. She just moved in and was unpacking on Memorial Day.

I lived at the Alcazar for months and I was grateful to have a place yet, the management is not good to understand what is service and rather what the needs are for the tenants. I cant imagine that they rent these out as hotel rooms. Walk over and enjoy the lobby. Wait til it is renovated to get a room there.

Staying here for work and I am very surprised that a nice company would put employees here. It is not a "hotel" this is a residence. No one answers the front desk phone or their "emergency" number. I leave messages and no one calls back. If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable hotel stay this is not the place. Very primitive with the basic 20 something cable tv channels with no internet. Very outdated, but not in a nice historical way. Questionable cleanliness in the rooms. Terrible beds.

I was there for a community band concert. The sound was superb. The architecture in the building is gorgeous! Parking is difficult for social things, I'm assuming it's better for overnight guests. This is a clean and historic gem!

DO NOT RENT THIS APARTMENT!!!
If you wanna be roommate with mice, cockroaches, flees, and bed bugs, come and live here. 90% of the time you can’t find anyone in the leasing office. The management team won’t give you money back when they overcharged you. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE PLACE.

This place is a mess. new management have torn out beautiful gardens. No heat or water in some of the apartments.
