I had placed The Addison on my wish list of dreamy Victorian inns while passing through Amelia Island several years ago, and finally had the chance to experience its hospitality first hand. The gracious lines and soft colors of the mansion that lured us from the outside is reflected in the graciousness of the innkeepers, Lisa and Ron, within. We arrived just in time to enjoy Ron's excellent wine choices at the happy hour gathering of guests on the deck, and within minutes we felt at home. From here we were able to stroll to the waterfront, museums, shops and restaurants. Our sparkly clean room overlooked the pretty interior courtyard, featuring an impressive fruit-laden kumquat tree. Chef Lisa (whose most famous breakfast recipe appears in a local cookbook) kindly accommodated my food restrictions.

Addison House was a big part of our enjoyment of Amelia Island. We can only echo all the other positive reviews. Ron and Lisa were so helpful without being intrusive, giving great tips and advice. The Inn is lovely with plenty of places to relax. Bikes and beach equipment are readily available. And Ron selects fabulous wines for the evening happy hour. Lisa’s breakfasts are renowned. We were there for a week and no repeats. The location is perfect, too. Hope to return, soon.

We recently stayed at the Addison for 6 nights & really enjoyed our visit. The inn is very clean, quiet & comfortable. ||We started the day with a delicious breakfast by Lisa, served either indoors or weather permitting, outside on the covered porch. The complimentary happy hour hosted by Ron was a great way to meet other guests. We shared many laughs.||The location couldn’t be better, a short walk to town with all the great restaurants. We only used our car twice in 6 days, one for a day trip to St. Simons Island.||We highly recommend the Addison and can’t wait to come back on our next visit to Amelia Island. Thank you Ron & Lisa!

Would definitely recommend this Inn in the historic district of Amelia Island at Ferdanina Beach. Ron and Lisa are excellent hosts welcoming you to their beautiful inn. The location is great; a block away from Central Street with all its shops and restaurants and a short stroll to the wharf to take a cruise over to Georgia’s Cumberland Island. They have bicycles for use of the guests which allowed us to explore so much of the island. The beach is just down the road and there is just so much space once you’re there. |Our room was basic but very comfortable with a large bathroom and a deck to sit out on after a hard day’s sightseeing. |Breakfast was included and there was free coffee and soft drinks available all day. There’s beer and wine get together for all guests between 5-6 pm. Everything for your comfort has been thought of.|We would definitely recommend The Addison if you’re going to Amelia Island.

This inn is lovely. We stayed in room 3 in the main building. It had a fireplace which we took full advantage of as it was unseasonably chilly for the end of February. The innkeepers are gracious and very friendly. Ron serves the breakfast meal and his wife Lisa is the chef. This inn is the perfect location for experiencing Fernandina Beach on foot. Everything is within a 10 minute walk.|In addition to breakfast Ron hosts a happy hour for all guests at 5:00. This is a very nice touch. (Nice wines and beer selection ).|If you’re looking for a beautifully furnished, and very clean inn look no further!

The inn and the hospitality lived up to our high expectations. We had Room 7, where standouts for me were the oversize jacuzzi tub and the private courtyard entrance, as well as Lisa's delicious croissant French toast. The location is an easy walk to the major restaurants and shopping area.

This B&B is clean, and the location is excellent for shopping and dining. The rooms are in three separate 2-story buildings. We stayed 3 nights in the main (original) house. Overall we give it a B. ||It is managed by the owners, which we like because owners tend to be more welcoming and personable. Not so much here though. They host many guests and are busy. Ron was hospitable and very efficient; only a day before our arrival he accommodated an order for flowers for our room. He was very pleasurable, but not particularly friendly. Lisa was very friendly when I caught her, but she stayed in the background. ||Breakfast was served between 8:30 and 10:00 with no scheduling necessary. It was was plated individually and served by Ron. It was good, but not special. Between 5:00 and 6:00 PM (precisely) complimentary beer and wine were available, but no hors d’oeuvres. ||The bed and sheets were very comfortable. There was a ceiling fan in the room, but no separate thermostat, and it was a little warm for us. We were asked if we wanted our room refreshed. The day we said yes they emptied waste baskets and provided fresh towels, but did not make up the bed. There was sign indicating a $150 damage fee would be assessed if a towel or bed sheet were stained. The TV was small and the toilet paper one ply.
