Attended a surprise birthday party for their Sunday Brunch. It was an extensive buffet of entree stations with ample variety. As a vegetarian, there were plenty of non-meat options and enjoyed delicious vegetable selections. The wait staff was truly exceptional making sure beverages never ran out!!

Without a doubt, there is no finer dining experience anywhere in a 60-mile radius than Stonewall's at Tara-A Country Inn. The attention to detail, the historically interesting decor, but most of all the exquisite food puts it at the top of our special places to celebrate any and all occasions. We never feel rushed which allows us to appreciate our perfectly prepared meals and drinks as well as enjoy wonderful conversation. |Furthermore, most of the staff has been there for years. They remember us, inquire about family, and truly make us feel welcome. It's an absolute treasure in Mercer County!!

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast! Each room is decorated in a unique theme from earlier times. Service is amazing! The restaurants are excellent! The bartender hand stuffed blue cheese olives for my martini! A very romantic venue! The pool area is sweet! Stay over on a Saturday to enjoy the extensive Sunday brunch in a room filled with an incredible antique gun collection. Very reasonably proced considering the level of service and quality!Highly recommend!

This Gone with the Wind themed hotel takes you back to a beautiful era when people could relax, have socials, tea and gorgeous dinners. Decorated with a theme each room has unique antiques with a lovely bed, jacuzzi tub, and fireplace. Tea and coffee are served early downstairs, breakfast can be brought to your room, or you can get a gourmet breakfast downstairs. Then, tea is served at 4 pm with little sandwiches, cookies, and scones. At 6pm on Friday and Saturday there is a champagne punch served as well. We ate at Ashley’s for Valentine’s Day. The seven course dinner is one delight after another! The next day we went to Stonewall’s Tavern for one of the best dinners we have had in a long time. The Salad and prime rib were scrumptious. Hanging out in the bar with Terry was another one of the highlights of our stay. We went with another couple and had great fun playing cards together. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

My friend and I decided to take the Christmas Tour of Tara. We parked around the side of the building and followed the signs for the tour. It led us into a side entrance and up some stairs. We wandered around for a while until a woman directed us to Aunt Pittipat's Parlor. ||The tour started with the history of the Inn which was interesting. Then we were split in two groups for the tour. This was a smart idea since there were approximately 40 people in the group. Our group leader, Betsy, led us down hallways and through different rooms all decorated for Christmas. She pointed out beautiful sculptures, chandeliers, and other works of art as we went through. I was impressed with her knowledge. There was a lot of memorabilia from Gone with the Wind, including Vivian Leigh's pictures during the filming of the movie.||Afterward we gathered for afternoon tea. We had our choice of tea, along with small sandwiches, scones, and other bite-sized treats. Everything was delicious. When you were done, you could wander the halls to get a better look at some of the beautiful artwork that we passed during the tour.

We have mixed feelings over our stay. The Inn is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Some of the staff is friendly. But not all. Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. Our room was too warm even though we turned the heat completely off. What bothers me the most...there is a "fee" included in our final bill which we were told was for the meals and gratuity and room cleaning. It's not much of a fee but the package supposedly included the services and meal. |They advertise:|| Lodging: In one of our luxurious guest rooms with fireplace, jetted or sunken tub, plush robes.| Welcome Tray: A delightful array of fresh fruit, cheese & champagne.| Afternoon Tea: A delectable arrangement of finger delicacies & tempting confectioneries.| Hospitality Hour (Friday & Saturday): An informal reception for all house guests. A great chance to meet one another & ask your host or hostess any questions about Tara – A Country Inn and the surrounding areas.| Breakfast the Following Morning: Enjoy a continental breakfast served in your guest room, or full breakfast served in Ashley’s Dining Room. Served from 7 a.m. – 10 a.m., or on Sunday you may choose the Sunday Brunch.||If you advertise it's included...why do you get charged for it? It should be noted up front there is a fee charge ........

Just spent a romantic weekend here for our 45th Wedding Anniversary! Except for a bad cut of steak for dinner Saturday , everything was perfect. Our daughter even had chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room as a surprise! They were absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent food and service! Stonewalls Tavern is the perfect place for a special occasion. The portions are very generous, and my steak was cooked to perfection. My absolute favorite entrée is the lobster—it’s a must-try. I can’t wait to return soon!
