Lovely coffee/ tea shop that I wish I had more time to spend at!!!! From the vine covered exterior to the magically decorated interior, I really felt like I was transported into a little fairy movie while I was at this shop. I think this is a great spot to go if you’re looking to buy a gift for someone who loves coffee or tea - they have a wide variety of packaged rishi and local teas to buy and many trinkets as well. The staff’s friendliness was a great touch too

I finally visited Tallulah 1882, where a lovely young lady named Maisey served me the prettiest cup of tea I've ever seen!
I've driven by the teahouse countless times (45 mph, of course!) often telling myself, "I really need to stop and check it out."
I'm glad I finally did. It's a sight to behold, inside and out.
Tallulah 1882 is in Rabun County, but just barely. Literally a stone's throw from the Rabun-Habersham line on 441 and across the road from Tallullah Gorge State Park, the teahouse has customers lined up outside on weekends, but on weekdays it's quiet enough to hold a meeting.

Maisey recommended an Earl Grey concoction with a name too long to remember, almost too pretty to drink, and beautiful enough to memorialize in a photograph!

I chose a chocolate croissant from the display of delectable bites and soon got over being stood up for the meeting I'd scheduled there.

How it works: You order inside at the counter, and pay upfront. There's minimal seating inside, more outside, where you can watch the passing parade, or you can order to-go. I sat down in the quirky dining room and was called to the pickup window when my order was ready. The silverware has heft and everything was served on a pretty vintage tray.

The menu is intriguing and a little overwhelming, and I imagine even more so on a crowded day.
Put simply, Tallulah 1882 offers monthy specials, sandwiches, soups, delicious desserts and pastries (baked in-house), and an amazing selection of teas and coffee. There's a little section for shopping.
I'm so glad I stopped. It was unexpectedly quiet, a special treat, and I'll be back.
Odds are you pass by often. Turn in! You won't regret it.

What a delightful place to stop. A historic train depot turned into a darling coffee shop. Loved the atmosphere! I had a cup of cocoa and chocolate croissant. Yum!!!!

I can’t express how much I LOVED this place. The coffee, the pastries, everything is mouthwatering good. I will drive out of my way one hour just to go here because there’s no other place like Tallulah 1882. The oats and honey coffee is a dream. The atmosphere inside is also a dream - feels like a fairy house. 100/10

Very unique setting. It has garden and antique store feel. A great selection of tinctures, coffee drinks, bakery items and sandwiches. I love the seating and the private little side rooms if you need some quiet time with your coffee.

This tea/coffee shop is so lovely I’ll drive 30 minutes to get there any day. I like the Brown Butter Latte with oat milk alongside whatever the special breakfast item is on the menu (it’s always delicious); the pastries are all amazing as well. It’s often pretty busy so I like to get there early in order to get a nice seat to relax in and stay awhile. The environment is beautiful and romantic. Nice place to stop before or after a local hike.

Tallulah 1882 was amazing. We tried the hot chocolate, iced mocha latte and Carmel crème latte. All of the drinks were delicious. We also tried the tomato soup and the green goddess flatbread, both were very good. The coffee house is very small inside and I think we came at one of the busiest times. Thankfully, we were able to find a table outside so it ended up working out. I would definitely recommend trying this place.

The goto place when you are in and around the Tallulah falls. The place got a good home , plant corner, and a garden area vibes to it and has a pleasant atmosphere. The coffee is great, the bakery items are good too. Highly recommend this place for anyone and everyone.
