I work in Blount County, 1st time visiting. It wasn't busy, which is a plus. I beat the lunch crowd.
I ordered the nachos with steak.You get to choose bt 4 meats. It was fried fresh and hot. The nachos were a nice sz and had several layers ( you can put whatever topping you want). It was reasonably priced as well. Perfect for Taco ? Tuesday.

If you’re coming in for conversation, you may be in the wrong place. They don’t have the warm and fuzzy kind of service. However, if you want DELICIOUS food, you just hit the jackpot!!! We tried several things including chicken quesadillas, chicken tacos and birria tacos. All were 10/10. Not even joking! Plus an almost perfect health rating! I know where we are going from now on for Mexican food!

Food was great. Priced just perfect. Chorizo Mollette done really well. Steak tacos weren't overcooked and seasoned perfect. Did not skimp on toppings. Did not get nachos but someone else did and they looked awesome.

I can't say enough about this place. They had me from taco. Friendly people and one of the cleanest restaurants that I have been in. Food has a great taste and it's fresh also. The combination of all this place has to offer makes it one of the best places to eat in Oneonta. Try it for yourself and I am certain that you will not be disappointed and will whole heartedly agree. I have to admit that I am certain that it is the best place in town for the food they serve. I might be hooked on this place.

It was surprisingly very good! We got two asada tacos and chicken nachos. The tacos were very flavorful and the huge moist chunks of chicken in the nachos was delicious. The only complaint I have is the cost of the tacos. Each taco is 3$, a bit pricey for the size of the taco. I would understand 3$ for 2 tacos but not for one. It was about 9.50$ for the nachos but that was a bit more worth it.

One of the best tacos I’ve ever had! My grandson says it’s THE best taco he’s ever had. Service is friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Just overall awesome.

After my 4th visit I WILL NOT return!

I pass through Oneonta a couple of times a month and a few months ago I found the Taco Stand resturant when searching for a place to eat. Since my first visit I have made a point to go out of my way to eat here when passing near. Not anymore!

Today 04/03/2024, I was traveling for work and stopped in and bought lunch-to-go for me and my crew. When I placed my order I requested ground beef instead of steak. The "Owner" took my order and I stepped aside. My co-worker stepped up to place his order and asked for the same exact meal to which the Taco Stand worker replied:

Worker: "You can only have steak, chicken, pork, not ground beef."
Me: Wait a minute, I just ordered ground beef! Why do I get ground beef and he can't?
Worker: "Yes, but I can't do too many. That's a special order and I have to charge more"
Me: OK, I'll pay more if that's what it has to be.
Worker: No ground beef it's just too much work.

Then the Taco Stand worker proceeded to make a fuss about it and my co-worker said "No, that's fine. I'll order steak instead." At this point I am sitting at the table waiting for our to-go order processing the interaction that just took place. I can't comprehend someone in the restaurant business saying preparing food with minor changes is TOO MUCH WORK. That is your entire job! When our order was bagged and handed to each of us we each checked the order before leaving. I asked the Taco Stand worker to step aside so I could talk to him.

Me: "When a man places an order in your restaurant and YOU tell your customer he can't have something because it's too much work for you, that is bad business.
Worker: I don't care, that's fine, I DON'T CARE.
Me: We will NOT be returning because of poor customer service
Worker: I DON'T care, it's MY business, I DON'T care.

I run a business and I understand that without my customers I have no business. My customers are the reason I have a job. You should never tell someone it's YOUR business and you don't care about your customers.

We (the customers) pay your bills you prick!
