We wanted a get away from a typical Florida Spring Break. I'm a school administrator and my husband is in operations. We wanted to connect to nature and visit the little Bavarian town our family in Savannah always told us about. Our arrival was easy and stress free. The location/room was beautiful, clean, spacious and had beautiful views from our balcony. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The wine tasting was lush. We really didn't want to leave - we loved hiking in the mornings, checking out local wineries, then relaxing on our balcony and watching the sun set in the mountains. There were plenty of things to do even in the off-season. While it was wonderful I had booked this through AAA and they said there would be breakfast and amenities on site. We were surprised to find that there apparrently was a shift towards catering and special events. They do offer coffee and snacks in the main loft area and a keureg/coffee with mini fridge in your room. The property is only staffed during certain hours. This may be different during the busy season in the area which begins in April and runs through summer. However, it was still a beautiful property and recommend staying. If in the area again will be staying at this property again. Thank you for restoring my spirit these last few days. 🙂

My husband and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary at Sylvan. It is a quick 10-15 minutes drive to/from Helen and other restaurants and wineries. The Lodge and room we stayed in (the Suite) is very nice, quiet, and clean. They were very quick to accommodate anything we needed. Scott, who we met Bartending the first day, was very knowledgeable about wines and things to do around the area. He actually ended up being our driver for a wine tour- which we also enjoyed. Truly, all the staff was wonderful and made us feel like family. We will definitely stay here again if we visit this area!

I completely fell in love with this cabin. It had everything we needed, and the place felt like a dream. From the moment we arrived, the lady who welcomed us was incredibly kind and charismatic, taking the time to explain everything to us in a friendly and warm manner.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work very well, but it turned out to be a blessing as it allowed us to fully disconnect from the city and immerse ourselves in the surroundings. The area is absolutely beautiful, perfect for connecting with nature.

The cabin was well-equipped, although I think it could use a frying pan and a pot to make full use of the electric stove, and I’d recommend adding a hairdryer in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was perfect. One detail we loved was finding blankets in the living room to use while sitting by the fire pit.

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy nature and stay just 10 minutes from the town of Helen, I highly recommend this cabin!

Positive: Friendly staff, quiet, peaceful location. Room mostly clean. Negative: The bathroom smelled like a stinky washcloth. I am thinking the cleaning rag used to wipe down the tub/shower was a bit mildewy.

Staff is amazing! Views and the lodge was so relaxing for us. We went on a day when the tasting room was closed. Yet upon request they opened it for us to taste their great wines and enjoy one of the best charcuterie boards found at ANY winery in North GA!|Scott conducted out tastings. He was wonderfully informative on the wines and general information in the area. Brandi is property manager went above and beyond any request we had.|We will be back for a girls winery tour, which is also something Scott offers.|Thank you Sylvan for a much needed peaceful and fun get away.

Such a little gem! Small, quiet and weekend perfection! Cozy cottage like room and the cutest little common area where strangers become friends. Perfect little deck upstairs for morning coffee also. Will definitely make a return visit soon!

The lodge was quaint, cute, and clean! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is just a short drive away from Helen and beautiful hiking trails. The only drawback was the road noise that can be heard from the balconies. The rooms were quiet though. The property is beautiful and we would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The lodge was perfect! It was very clean, peaceful and nicely decorated. The added bonus of a mini fridge, snacks and coffee was perfect along with the wine & beer tasting room. The property manager was extremely nice and was there for us anytime by text message!! The distance to Helen was not far at all. We look forward to many future stays. This is a great place for everyone!
