We have spent our winters here since 2020. We fell in love with park almost immediately. These are the friendliest people you will meet. We now consider them our family. The facilities are always clean and maintained in great condition. The park is quiet and not located near major highways. It is located close to all kinds of hiking trails and almost any kind of shopping. All the activities here will keep as busy as you want.

This park is a nice size. Small enough to get to know people but large enough to have an full activities director who plans a number of events. We were impressed at how clean it was. After a windstorm, the palm trees drop a lot of stuff on the streets but it is always cleaned up immediately. |The managers are extremely helpful. Pam would fax things for me which saved me having to go to Office Depot. And when I needed help with a number of things such as a flat tire on my golf cart or carrying our sick dog to the car, Steve was right there to help. When we wanted to start a summer activity program, Pam and Steve financed the start up and gave us a lot of support like distributing the information in everyone's mailbox.|The park has numberous get togethers so there was always something to do. The pool was cleaned every day which was not our experience prior to this one.

We came down here from up north in 2019 and fell in love with the park and the people in it. There are activities going on everyday and evening of the week. If you get bored here, it has to be your own fault. Want to play a new game, somebody is always willing to teach you. Are you hungry? Between 4 o'clock happy hour happening all around the park to dinners and shows it is hard to lose weight around here. If you want to lose weight, be at the pool 6, 7 and 9 for water aerobics, or horse shoes, shuffle board, golfing, quilting and hiking in the Superstitions. Just sign up. Of coarse management is always there to help and answer questions. Would I recommend this park, I would have to say yes! We ended up buying a Park Model and are staying year around and love it.

My husband and I were looking for a winter home after we retired. We are from the Midwest and do not care for the winter weather any longer. Our choices were between Florida and Arizona. When our friends told us about their home in Superstition Lookout (SLO) RV Resort, we decided to check it out. We are so happy we did and within one week of visiting SLO we made an offer on a park model. We have been proud owners in SLO for 16 months. The residents here are so friendly and were so welcoming. The sights around SLO are beautiful especially Superstition Mountain. We love the various monthly activities in the park and special events that are scheduled outside the park for residents. It is a fun place to spend the winter months. Check out SLO; you will love it too!

Pros||||1. Beautiful views of the Superstitions.||2. Nice FT residents. They are cordial and welcoming.||||Cons||||We have travelled 10k miles this year as full time RVers/working professionals and it's the first park we have stayed that we felt it necessary to write a less than stellar review.||||1. We found management to be sour and bossy. As an RVer in a "resort" of mostly park models, you may be just tolerated and not made to feel genuinely welcomed. There was an undercurrent of "don't stay here longer than a month." Which we decided not to. For a park that boasts about a smaller more personal community, this was surprising. Some people should not be in the people business.||2. You may have come thousands of miles and awaited the arrival of a very critical medication or RV part, but delivery will be refused by management even if UPS makes a mistake and delivers to the front desk rather than to your lot number. Not even the decency to call you, with your package literally just yards away in a very small resort. Again, the irony of "community." ||3. Half of the small complex is off limits to dogs. The area they call a "dog area" is misleading and pitiful. Don't let them fool you into thinking there is one. Whatever they call the "dog area" is behind a locked gate and just a rocky levy where you and/or your poor little dog could fall in. ||4. As mentioned, this is not an "RV Resort." It is 95% park models. It is misleading and should be renamed "mobile home and RV park."||5. I am not sure if it was just our lot but our water tasted TERRIBLE. This was after being filtered twice.||6. Management called us in the middle of lunch in Scottsdale and expected us to show up in person to pay the bill electric bill. She gave us 10 minutes to show up. It was disrespectful to expect us to drop what we were doing without any advanced notice or arrangements made. She insisted we show up in person to pay the bill until my husband requested giving her our card number over the phone. She complied.||||For an area with so many other choices, we recommend you look elsewhere in order to enjoy your stay in Apache Junction. The area itself is relaxed, with the beautiful Superstitions and services close by.

IIIMy wife and I bought a parkmodel in 2007 and enjoyed the way the park was managed. The owner and management were very nice and friendly. The residents are very nice and friendly people and fun to be around. The park was sold a few years ago and things changed and not for the better. If you would have a concern about something talking to the manager or the owners got you no where. As time went by things got worse. . The owners started nit picking the way parkmodels were kept up.. we sold in March 2022 and would not go back

We have never visited Apache Junction before and decided this winter to take our RV and winter there. We decided on this resort for our 3+ month stay and are not disappointed. The resort is smaller than most in this area and we love that. The staff is very friendly. We hope to be back here next winter!
