I would NOT recommend, the place is nasty and reeks of cigarettes and pot. You can not enter or exit through the main doors, you have to use a small side door. They advertise offering a continental breakfast with Hot Waffles, and in reality you have a few granola bars a picture of apple juice and a coffee pot. As you can see in the pictures, everything is rusty. We booked a new n-smoking room, but we were put in a room that was clearly a smoking room, it reeked and had ashtrays in the room. We were moved to a dark ferment room, it did have an odd smell, but didn’t reek of cigarettes. There was no coffee pot, no ironing board or iron. When I asked about the Super Start breakfast that Super8 advertises, the clerk told me that Super8 does not require that unless there are over 300 rooms. Oh and we got less than a half roll of toilet paper and no spare.

We stayed here for 2 nights while we had some renovation work back home. Staff were friendly and helped us get checked in. Room was clean and we felt safe while we were there. At a past hotel we had random people knocking on our door. This was a great hotel!

I was staying there on my fema voucher, because of the other fema people that were there before me was sneaking people I'm their rooms and stealing things, they said there are no guests allowed. I was kicked out an I'm disabled with my service dog at 1:30am in 20F degree weather for a noise complaint by a sheriff officer, when I had been asleep. They are letting people without a keycard in the building, blaming me/others for it. The owner threatened me he will have my service dog removed for me not taking her with me by animal control, but they allow pets there. The room was filthy, sticky stuff on the floors, TV screen was broke, 1 of the beds had a full body dip in the mattress very uncomfortable. The owner took one of my keycards and the other one punched a hole in it, threatening me if I lost it he'd charge me $5 for a new one. Very unprofessional, and rude. They do have phones in the rooms, with free local and toll free calls, but I called to be put through to my room and when my roommate didn't answer, I called back and asked to plz try again and the lady put me on hold an then hung up on me. I called back an a man informed me I'd have to call them on their cellphone, I told them twice they don't have a cellphone and they informed me it wasn't their job to put me through to the room requested and had told a few people that had called for me that I no longer lived there and I did. I'm still entitled to 11 days of my voucher but I want what they charge daily plus tax X 11 days back for me having to leave and find somewhere else to stay! Who's the owner over this hotel location in Anderson sc?!?!

(Original Review)
Came home from work yesterday to find my room door open being held open by the latch. I went to the front desk talk to them about who had been into my room because I'm the only one with the key and I had a do not disturb on the door. They told me that they couldn't tell me because it couldn't have been them because there's a do not disturb on the door. But my key was the only key for my room and it was the only one made so the only other key that could have opened my door is a master key which only they should have. I asked them to check the cameras and they told me that they could not because the managers are all in Atlanta ( why they would leave the hotel with no managers available I have no idea) and wouldn't be back till Monday. I have stuff missing out of my room and they are no help. I left the do not disturb on my door while I was gone today in hopes of it keeping someone from coming into my room even though it had not stopped whoever came into my room the day before. Then today I wasn't here when room service came around so I called to try to see if I could get new sheets for my bed and clean towels and they told me that I could not get anything that I needed because I had a do not disturb on my door and I was not here earlier I tried to explain that I was at work. While on the phone with the front desk lady cussed at me and then hung up on me because I was irritated I'm not being able to get the things that I needed. I was never rude. She had stated that I can only get those things during the day. But it was only 5pm it wasn't even dark outside yet which I pointed out to her and that's when she told me that I didn't have to be a smartass then hung up on me.

(Update) A lady did bring me sheets and clean towels up to my room but they did not bring a clean blanket (which I'm sure will be a problem later on) and the lady was extremely aggravated at me for even asking for those things even though I was not here today to get the things I needed. I tried to explain to her my reasons and about what had happened the day before and she began to argue with me about how it wasn't them that came into my room the day prior. I tried to explain to her that I do not believe any of the staff were the ones that came into my room because I just don't see them doing that but that my main concern is that somebody other than staff has a master key. Because all the staff here are usually nice and very helpful so I'm trying to understand what happened and what changed but I believe that they do have a security issue that causes me to have safety concerns.

P.s I know someone else who is also staying here that also had a incident where one of the front desk people made a room key for someone who went up there pretending to be him and even claimed to have checked the dudes ID saying it match the name on the room but it in fact did not so a key was made for somebody that was not supposed to be in the room and went into the room and took some of his stuff and and was able to do it with barley any effort.
(Update) Just talked to someone else that stays here and they said the front desk made a room key for someone that also didn't have permission to have one and didn't even contact him about it. So that now makes 2 people. This place has some serious security issues and safety concerns.
(Another Update) Just tried to contact a manager once again to see if they had checked the camera and according to the person I talked to there is still no available manager and they have no idea when one will be back.

The owners are constantly watching cameras. No one is allowed to have visitors while staying here. They only change our towels and linen once every 3 days. No one mops. I did. It took me 5x before the cloth came up, not so black. The curtains and windows are filthy. The internet is slow, and at best, you only get kicked off about 73x a day. They claim free breakfast, but what they meant was bran cereal and that's it. They also claim to have coffee pots in room, no they don't. They lock every single door in the building at dark except one on the other side of building. I'm not happy about this at all. Oh , I almost forgot, a rusty microwave and leaking black liquid mini frig, I'm guessing is the kitchen. Lol I'll add photo of only door open from dark to daylight. Isn't that a fire hazard?

Rooms were clean. Hotel was a bit run down. Not generous with in room supplies, tp, towels. Side doors were always propped open which would allow entry by anyone. Location was ok but hotel is set back from road and behind other business. some restaurants in the area.
