Great place to spend time. Friendly service and resort owners. Plenty to do. No tipping at resort. Felt odd, but that was the policy. Centrally located to fast food and great sit down meals. We'll be back.

We stayed here as part of their Fall Special rate - can't beat the price for a longer stay. We split our stay between Canyon Vista Resort in Gold Canyon and Sunflower in Surprise. As we were only in Sunflower for 2 weeks of the fall special, we were able to stay in one of the "short term" spots in the back, which include a picnic table and are preferable (in our opinion) to the longer term sites within the park. Perhaps because they weren't as full in that area, so it felt more spacious. Park was well maintained and staff was helpful. You do hear the jets from Luke Airforce Base. We were in site 1135 - pull through with full hook-ups. Lots of activities in the park.

Really nice park. We enjoyed our stay except for the pickleball experience. One of our main reasons for staying at Sunflower was the pickleball courts. They were not friendly at all. Very clickish and we were met on the two occasions by the same lady when we went to play that the courts were reserved and we would not be able to play unless we were invited. We were never invited. We stayed each day for a bout 20 minutes and then left and not one person could have been bothered. Very disappointed and the locals there were not inviting. Suggest maybe a more welcoming atmosphere to help attract more people to your resort. We definitely felt like the outsiders and not worthy.

Stephanie Moore in sales is such an asset to Cal Am and Sunflower. We bought our β€œtiny home” at Sunflower in one of the first few weeks she was on site. Then, and now, she is patient, knowledgeable, and straightforward. We are lucky to have her as part of our community!

We found this resort this year while traveling with our rv. I have to say this is a very impressive 55-and-over resort. The security team, led by Tom, is extremely friendly and professional. They got us on the resort and to the correct locations with no problems. Our parking pad is long enough to park our vehicles (F-450, SUV, '12 trailer) right beside our rv. The parking is on rock, but there are long concrete pads at everyone's door. The roads are paved with plam trees on most everyone's sites (most wrapped in leds). This place reminds me of a resort from Hawaii: restaurants, tiki bar (with great food also), wood working shop, sewing shop, stained glass shop, bands every night, etc. If you are staying longer term, there is a mail room
that can be used. The resort is in an excellent, safe part of town, with numerous excellent locations to shop and eat. And as a bonus...major sports complexs are close to the resorts location. We plan on coming back for years!

Beautiful place. Lots of entertainment with great bands weekly at the Tiki Bar area. Lots of clubs ranging from cards to woodworking, stain glass, quilting etc. 3 dog parks with ability to walk them anywhere in the park.
