As someone who frequents the Staybridge brand, it’s becoming more and more uncommon to find one that hasn’t been renovated within the last few years, so when I stumbled across this property, and saw the reasonable price, I was a bit skeptical. That skepticism increased when I found out the hotel was actively being renovated during my stay. Despite this, I think I have a new favorite Staybridge. The location is great, tons of things in walking distance and super easy access to 471. The staff are incredible, especially the lady who checked us in, and the lady at checkout who let us extend our checkout time no problem at all. The entire facility was clean and well kept, as was the room. For a room that’s about to be renovated, the fact that everything worked perfectly, was super clean, and functional should not be taken for granted. The dishes, save for one glass, were all super clean, which isn’t all that common, the HVAC worked well, the shower was well kept, and most of the furniture, while older, was in great shape. The closet doors in my room were a little jacked up but still worked with a little force, so no issues, and the mattress was slightly firmer than I’d care for, but was still very comfortable and will be perfect for many people. Overall, I’d strongly recommend this hotel, and I’m sure it’s only going to get better with renovations. And hey, you’ll be staying with the friendliest staff in Northwestern Ohio too! (One other cute touch, I loved the little hand written board in the lobby welcoming every IHG Member by name, I’ve never seen that before and it really makes you smile.)

I would definitely stay with these folks again. The property is an excellent property and will likely even be better upon completion of renovations. Space was excellent and the pool area offered great potential for entertainment. Unfortunately, it was under renovation but was expected to be completed in a couple weeks. The Bar was only open on limited days and times of which the weekend was not included, limiting possible social interactions if that is something of importance to a visitor. There was a nice size technology area available for those needing that. It was definitely a family friendly environment nestled just behind a large mall area all within walking distance.

The check in process was fast. This hotel is in the midst of a remodel floor by floor and we were able to pick a room in the newly remodeled floor (4). It was beautifully redone and we look forward to when the rest of the hotel is done. Bed was comfortable and we did get a decent night of sleep. Nice that this hotel sits back behind a shopping center so some dining is within walking distance, but it is also really quiet, which we like. We'll definitely stay here again!

When I checked I. I was given an upgraded room because the King Suites were over booked. This is really the only positive thing I can say about this location.

Entering the room there was a definite musty Oder to the room.

The curtains in the main room were falling off and I could not shut the curtains which took away privacy in the main living area.

The remote for the tv was not working. So I asked for new batteries which never came and I ended having to buy some myself.

In the master bathroom the support was not attached to the sink bottom. Seems this could be a danger if someone had children staying there.

The water for the shower was lukewarm at best and the tub would not drain so by the end of the shower I was standing in 2-3 inches of water.

I was surprised to see the check in clerk walking around in only socks and smoking right at the main entrance.

Overall this was the most disappointing stay for the amount of money spent for 2 nights.

Booked a two bedroom suite for 2 nights, $760, 3 weeks in advance. They started construction on the pool the week before we got there. They refused any type of compensation for me, my wife, and our 4 kids, for not being able being able to use the pool while it was under construction.

Trash business focused more on profit than customer service.

Aside from that, almost every room door in the hallway looked like they have been kicked in at some point in time. Some light switches in the room didn't work. Paper thin walls. No bathroom fan. Gross stains on furniture. Breakfast eggs are boiled in a bag. Oatmeal was watery. Orange juice was 80% water. Staff wasn't rude but they weren't polite either. Old lady working the front desk was hitting her weed pen when we came down to the lobby for breakfast. Acted like she hated her life.

Hotel looks amazing from the outside. Complete dumpster inside.

We booked a two room suite for a one night travel layover - three adults/two small pups, needing the pullout bed in the couch for the third person. The experience was awful. The pool (which we were really looking forward to) was closed for repairs. In a very empty looking hotel, they put us in the room at the back, next to the stairwell and construction worker entrance/exit. The alarm clocks didn’t work, the tv was stuck on Spanish mode, the ice maker in the freezer was broken. Found a pitcher to maybe get some ice and the lid had yellow sticky gelatinous goop on it (gross). There was no safety latch on the door. Here’s the worst part. Midnightish rolls around and we pull the sofa bed out. It was disgusting on the underside, but we thought maybe the sleeping side would be better. WRONG - it was covered in really nasty stains. At that point, all of our stuff was unpacked, so changing rooms would not be an option. I ended up trying to sleep on the couch itself, to no avail. In the morning, I stopped at the front desk on the way out to tell them about everything and to suggest that they throw away that couch mattress. The front desk clerk said he would talk to the manager and have him get in touch with me. We’ll, it’s been a week and there is radio silence. We booked a VRBO for the return trip. Buyer beware.

Our family of five stayed for one night on Thanksgiving. Check in was easy. There were enough towels for all of us to use, which I find to be rare at hotels lately. The beds were very comfortable. The only improvement I would suggest is turning the heat up in the pool. It was too cold for us to swim. The breakfast selection was okay. Just not enough plates and bowls. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable, and hotel staff helpful. However, the pool was closed (not mentioned on the website), the soft drink dispenser didn't work, and neither did either waffle maker. I stay here on business multiple times a year, so this was disappointing.
