This is a wonderful hostel experience. The location is close to the trail and is absolutely gorgeous with the large window in the living room overlooking the mountains. The fire place was roaring on the snowy night and a bonus with 5 or 6 couches for everyone to get comfy. With some movement of furniture, instant yoga instruction was happening. The resupply and small gear store is really cool too. I'm looking forward to staying at the VA location. Four Squares signing out.

This is hands-down the best hiker hostel I’ve ever stayed at!!!

I’ve only made it as far as Franklin, North Carolina so far, but this is such a special place. I intend to return to this happy spot on earth over and over again!

It has everything you need and I can’t wait to go back! They offer shuttle services for Slack packers. They also provide breakfast at a small fee, smoothies, frozen pizzas, free laundry, and the list goes on and on. They even have a small outfitter store. I cannot recommend this hiker hostile enough.

This is a first class hostel! The staff is very helpful and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the Appalachian Trail. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazingly good. I highly recommend this hostel.

I recently stayed at StAnimal Around the Bend, while completing a seminar near Hiawassee, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff here are absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring.

The environment is impeccably clean, and the beds are comfortable, allowing for a restful stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious breakfast served each morning; it was a perfect start to my day. On one particular day, even when the power went out, the staff remained outside on the Blackstones, preparing breakfast with smiles on their faces. Their dedication truly stood out!

I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a comfortable and pleasant stay. I will definitely be returning in the future, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the staff for their patience with my wild dancing and enthusiastic seminar interactions. You all are simply the best!

This place rocks so much! Breakfast was delicious. Daf led yoga in the morning which was so restorative. And the vibe is so cozy and welcoming. Definitely recommend staying here.

Lisa and Gordon have a wonderful hostel and outfitter store for any hikers that are near Unicoi or Dick’s Creek Gap. We had a private room and enjoyed the self service features of the hostel. They also offer laundry and showers for hikers that don’t plan to stay over night. Would stay again!
