The Spitzer House is a lovely place within easy walking distance from the square in downtown Medina. Passing through the front doors felt like stepping back in time. The owners have obviously taken great care to restore this grand, old home. The woodwork alone is worth a visit.|Self check in was super easy, and communication with the host was consistent & helpful. Breakfast in the big dining room was scrumptious! The care taken to make us feel welcome throughout the house was appreciated!

The Spitzer House is a charming place filled with rich character and history. The room was well furnished and the bed was quite comfortable. It is the perfect spot to stay if you want to stroll around downtown or a great base camp to explore nearby parks.

Hayley did a wonderful job of communicating with us and providing a great experience, and breakfast! I highly recommend this place if you want to experience a cozy small town weekend getaway.

If you are looking for a historic B&B with a lot of character, this is the place. The public areas are furnished with Victorian era decor. So was the bedroom but with modern conveniences, like air conditioning that worked great on a 90 degree day.|Hayley is a wonderful host. Very friendly and helpful. In the morning she served a great breakfast. We had the eggs benedict & bacon with a side of mixed berries and yogurt. Coffee was served with Florentine cookies.|We stayed in Evalyn's Room. It was very clean and well maintained. It has a very comfortable bed and a great view of the koi pond in the yard below. While we did not hear any noise from the other rooms, unfortunately since the house is on a busy street, there was some road noise from outside. |While we did not use the coffee station that was set up on the second floor, we did have several bottles of water from the refrigerator up there.|The house is well within walking distance of the central square in Medina with shops and restaurants.|We will definitely stay at Spitzer House again.

What a charming B&B! Lovely Victorian furnishings. We stayed in Aaron's Room on the first floor. Very comfy king bed. Even the bathroom fixtures were period pieces. Charming sitting area for guests as well as a coffee/tea station and a small refrigerator. Our host prepared a wonderful breakfast for us in the beautiful dining room. Fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade granola, a baked item and quiche. On a busy street but our room was very quiet. We have stayed at many B&B's over the years and would highly recommend the Spitzer House.

Lovely Victorian house turned B&B. Twice during a 3 day the owner asked for a change of plans because she was "a bit behind". A delayed check-in (5pm) is easier to accommodate but when an agreed upon breakfast time was pushed to a later hour for the same reason, her poor planning now impinged upon guest's schedules. A personal item that rolled under the bed revealed an area that had not been cleaned in a long time. An overall 'just the minimum cleaning vibe'. A busy road with its share of big trucks made for a noisy location even during evening hours.

We went here for a romantic getaway and it was perfect! It's a historic building, and there are a lot of books and explanations inside. The landscaping is beautiful. Breakfast was a quiche, which was the best I'd ever eaten. It's close to the downtown area. The big attraction is Christmas Castle.

We were lucky to snag the last available room for the night before the Medina half marathon. We loved the building and were impressed by the industry of the owner-manager. She does an amazing job. Enjoy your breakfast and check out the 1929 book on bee keeping in the living room !

What a hidden gem. The woodwork is beautiful! It has that old world charm you look for . I really enjoyed the swing on the front porch. Breakfast was amazing. Cooked to order! Hayley is an awesome hostess. I highly recommend staying here. Very reasonably priced!!
