The atmosphere is laid back and the service is friendly. However the food is lacking, the place gives a "yuppies eating out" feel. We were so excited to try it after seeing the pictures but it was nothing like we had hoped for. The sushi rolls you see online are not at the Troy Ohio location. They have a very limited and boring selection of sushi. My husband got one of the tuna poke bowls and it was more rice than anything else. I got the crab Rangoon grilled sandwich and it was so ill prepared I ended up squeezing it out on top of my waffle fries like a dip, it was very runny. The pictures online looked amazing, the presentation was good but the taste and quality was a major let down.

We enjoyed everything we ordered. The fried sushi was our favorite. The crab Rangoon grilled cheese was unique and delish. We will be back!

I have gone to SpeakEasy Miso around two to three times now, and have enjoyed my time dinning there every single time

Experience: The restaurant has a very interesting aesthetic design to the inside of the building, a mix of bright and dark colors with multiple different colored lights, the staff was very active in serving me and my friend, constantly refilling our water and asking if everything was going well.

Food: All the food is very good, much of the food is like modernized Japanese food, with some being a spinoff of American food or other cultures, such as the Crabragoon Fries (very good by the way). In my opinion the best ramen on the menu is the Hakodate Chicken Ramen, the other ones are very good since they all use real fresh broth for the soup base, but I'm not too much of a fan of pork in general so I tend to stick to the chicken base ones.

If you go here it works nicely as a fancy hangout spot with friends or even a nice date night that you could go enjoy, you can expect to pay around 20-40 dollars for yourself, if you get an appetizer and a meal.

Overall, I highly recommend coming here to eat, very good staff, aestheticly pleasing atmosphere and very good food.

My daughter & I visited this place for the 1st time on Saturday November 9, 2024. We usually go to the Speakeasy Ramen in Springfield but this one was 8 minutes closer to us so we opted for this one. We were able to find street parking relatively easy coming out of the roundabout. The restaurant can't be missed as it sits on the corner and has MISO on the side of the building. The establishment is very nice inside. Plenty of seating; booths, tables & a bar. Also there's a seating area up front before you SEAT YOURSELF in the back. The server (we ordered To Go) was pleasant & offered her take on some of the items we (my daughter & I) were discussing out loud. In the end my daughter ended up getting the Tokyo Noodles & some Crab Ragoon. I got the Cheese Noodles & some Crab Ragoon. I'm not a noodle fan per se BUT my Cheese Noodles were good. I think I put way too much of the cheese sauce over the noodles....less is more! My daughter said that her Tokyo Noodles (see the pic. that looks like it has soap bubbles in it) was TOO GREASY. She said it felt like she had chapstick on her lips! It upset her stomach a bit. The Crab Ragoon was okay. It doesn't rival the Speakeasy Ramen's crab ragoon (sorry Miso) but it was okay. Now the prices.......🤨😳 they were a bit much in my opinion. For those TWO items (we paid separately) it was just under $30😳. That is a little too pricey for me. So because of the price and how oily my daughter's Tokyo Noodles were; we won't go back. HOWEVER, don't be afraid to try their food for yourself! Everyone's tastes are different!😉

Would be helpful to add item descriptions to menu.

Sapporo Ramen: corn, scallions, ground pork, tea egg, bamboo, bean sprouts, saffron - mild spicy broth

Cheese Ramen: corn, bean sprouts, scallions, tea egg - medium spicy broth

Food: tea egg was hard boiled and felt it should have been soft boiled

Service: too long time before we were addressed - self seating, no chopsticks until we asked, didn’t bus dishes, no app plates with appetizer, not offered another drink when I finished my tea, water not refilled

Beautiful restaurant but that’s about it. Service was terrible and food wasn’t even really edible.
Ramen was very greasy and too much sesame oil. The sushi roll we got had tiny diced pieces so you couldn’t even taste the chicken in it. Rice was gummy and mushy on the arancini. Our egg rolls were ice cold in the middle. Bao was very very dry. No sauce and the buns seemed stale.

Alexis was great. We saw her do more than anybody else in there. Employees here hanging at the bar the whole time chatting. One gentlemen in particular did absolutely nothing except bragging and yelling he hit 40hrs for the week. Almost had to hunt someone down to get our check. We won’t be back.
