I had an incredible stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, everything was perfect. The staff, especially Michelle and Monica, were absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met and always greeted me with a smile. The service was top-notch, and I felt truly valued as a guest. The room was pristine, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for luxury and exceptional service!

I stayed at this hotel for a couple nights with my son. they were all were very welcoming & nice also greeting you when u walk inside to check in or check out. the breakfast was delicious bagels & they also have a great breakfast employee that makes sure she’s always have everything stocked up and greeting you at the door before I walked inside. She’s very helpful and sweet but also she works very hard and effectively. Michelle is an amazing manager and very professional and welcoming at the front desk . She has a positive attitude and outlook on the hotel and the guests here. She greeted me everytime I came down and build great conversations with me . I will be definitely coming back here soon. I loved the service that was giving from the housekeepers they are all hardworking employees who put there all into making the hotel feel comfortable and welcoming. That’s exactly how I felt being here was amazing experience. No they are not RACIST EITHER because I am a person of color and they treated me very kindly

Wow...I do not write reviews often and it is important to be honest and accurate but this was so bad I have to take the time. That said, let me save you the trouble of staying here. This is an old property and Hilton went in and spent the bare minimum to paint (poorly), new tile in the bathrooms (also poor) and just about anything else they could put a "thin" veneer of new onto. Well, not quite, they did not update the hinges on the doors which match nothing and clash so badly it is worth mentioning here, think brassy gold from the 80's. We stayed Feb 1, 2025 and I would say the retrofit is pretty much new, however, if it should have cost a dollar they spent .50 cents at the most. I mean so bad, so last minute, not attention to detail, truly lipstick on the pig if you are familiar with the reference. Hilton, please do not feel compelled to respond to this review as you could not care that much since you put your name on the side of the building. This "budget" option does not live up to the expectations. New but peeling furniture which is sawdust and glue covered by something that looks like wood? Things do not fit, outlets and lights are weird but also cheap. In fact the word "cheap" is likely the best descriptor. If the goal was a thin layer of "new" over older infrastructure you succeeded. If the goal was a quality remodel you have missed the mark by so much. It was a very nice and warm evening and we should have considered just sleeping outside. Just sad...really sad as it is supposed to be new...but mostly sad. Hilton...try again and try harder.

Do not believe the negative reviews. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel is quiet and clean. Great selection of snacks to purchase, a wonderful hot tea and coffee bar, sparkling pool and perfectly welcoming jacuzzi.

The breakfast isn't more than fuel for the day and the OJ is not watered down. Some fresh fruit would be a nice addition.

North Glendale doesn't have a lot of choices when it comes to hotels, Spark is a great choice.

As a Hilton Gold member, I chose this hotel for its convenient location near the baseball fields where we had a tournament. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations.

Check-in Experience:
The check-in process was underwhelming. I did not receive the Hilton member reward upon arrival, nor was it offered. I had to ask the next day for water, and even then, the snack portion of the reward was never provided. The staff, while not rude, were not particularly helpful or engaging—just average at best.

Room & Amenities:
The room itself was clean and featured new furniture, but the quality of the furnishings felt subpar. The hallways had a strong smell of paint, likely due to recent renovations. Contractors were actively working on-site during our stay, but there were no notices or communication from the hotel about this, which would have been appreciated. Basic information, such as the location of the ice machine or details about the bagel breakfast bar, was not provided during check-in, leaving me to figure it out myself.

Breakfast & Facilities:
The bagel breakfast bar was disappointing, with very limited offerings, and the orange juice tasted overly watered down. There is only one elevator on the property, and it was painfully slow—walking the stairs was often the faster option.

Post-Check-Out Surprise:
After checking out, I discovered a $15 damage fee on my credit card statement. When I followed up, I was informed it was for a stained washcloth. The stain was from dirt at the baseball field, and I strongly question if the dirt could not have been cleaned, as we were able to wash my son's white baseball pants with no issue. This charge felt excessive and unnecessary, further dampening the experience.

Overall Impression:
This stay was a disappointment, particularly as a Hilton Gold member redeeming reward points. While the location was convenient and the room itself was clean, the lack of service, mediocre amenities, and unexpected charges left a sour impression. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying at Spark by Hilton and will not be returning. It’s a classic case of “you get what you pay for.” Lesson learned.

I had an amazing stay at Sparks by Hilton Hood, and a big part of that was thanks to Monica from the hotel staff. She was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Her warm, welcoming attitude and attention to detail truly made my experience special. It's rare to find such exceptional service, and Monica definitely went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel, and I will definitely be back!

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Especially if you are a person of color. Upon arrival, the front desk lady, FRANCES, was not welcoming and did not offer to help me until I asked to be helped. When the manager, MICHELLE, came out, she was very rude and aggressive to both me and my husband. Throughout our stay, she made it very uncomfortable for us. When we had breakfast, the manager, MICHELLE, came and interrupted our meal by yelling at her employees regarding the layout of the almost non existent breakfast. All they have for breakfast is bagels and watered down orange juice. As we were leaving, we asked for a late check out and she refused even though I am a silver Hilton member and a late check out is part of my tier. She had a personal vendetta against my husband and I from the moment we walked in. It feels very racist. Instead of pacifying situations, the manager, MICHELLE, ignites it and does her best to escalate situations causing tension and bad reviews for her hotel. I should have read the reviews before booking at this poorly ran establishment. If you want peace and comfort, this is not the hotel for you.

I was disappointed. I’m primarily a business traveler, but having never stayed at a Spark property, I assumed it was going to be similar to Marriott’s Aloft properties, but it was simple a poorly upgraded, very old property. The care taken to modernize has all the hallmarks of a NYC rental apartment that is quickly cleaned up before the next tenant moves in: a quick, bad paint job, doors that stick, heavy perfume smell in the room (I don’t want to know what it was cover up), and just a sad, gross vibe from the moment you enter.
