We had a group of 13 people stay at the resort this last weekend, coming from Oklahoma, Kansas, and even some locals. We rented the 2 bunkhouses, which were perfect for our group! We loved that we could open the door between the rooms and spend time together. The beds were great, with full/twin bunk beds and a couple futons. There was TV and wifi. Mini-fridge and coffee pots were available on each side. And a bathroom with shower. We appreciated all of the available towels and the bed linens. Everything was super clean as well. It felt like "adult summer camp" for our group. The big front deck looking out on the river was perfect. We were picked up at 0930 by the shuttle to the river and enjoyed a float down the Spring River. Even though it rained a bit during our float, and stormed hard at night, we stayed dry and had an amazing time all around. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful and made sure our stay/float was safe and comfortable. We all HIGHLY recommend the resort and can't wait to come back!

This resort has recently changed hands. The new owners are working hard to Improve and enhance the resort. The owners are very friendly and enthusiastic about plans that are in the works. It is in a beautiful, peaceful location with a river right next to it. We will be watching as it morphs. I would recommend it for the available cabins and family fun.

I went to this so called Resort last year, I paid in advance, Which was my first mistake. When I arrived there I couldn’t find anybody at the office which had a closed sign on it. I knocked several times at the door hoping someone may possibly be there. I had just driven 700 miles and was tired and hoping to relax after my long drive. After walking around for several minutes hoping that someone could help me with my reservation, A lady seen me and called out to me. The lady was a housekeeper for the resort and she then tried to call the owner/ Manager of the resort, Sadly she was unable to reach her. So she then took me to the various cabins hoping to find the one that I had reserved. After several attempts she thought she had found the cabin because it was open. Upon entering I was horrified in what I seen. The cabin was the size of a large closet and not very clean. I told the housekeeper that the cabin was unacceptable and no way could I stay there. She then told me that there were no getting my money back, No refunds was their policy. This cabin wasn’t fit to stay in so I immediately left, I was lucky to find a Motel in the area. I tried calling the manager of the resort several times to tell her of my disappointment and hoped she would be a decent person and give me a refund . But after several calls she never returned them, It was absolutely horrible that when I arrived there was no one to greet me. The manager of this resort lead me to believe that I was getting a great looking cabin with the pictures she had sent me. Never returned my calls, And she wasn’t decent enough to give me a refund. BAD MANAGEMENT! BAD RESORT! Do not go here.

Our 1st time to stay here and it was an overall great experience! Only down side was there wasn't much play area of the river for kids, but good fishing. We had a reserved cabin, and after riding in a car for several hours, I wished the AC would have been on upon arrival . The highway is super close but it isn't very distracting. Cabins were clean and staff was very helpful! The float trip was awesome!

Beautiful stretch of river, very friendly outfitter. My son and I arrived at the resort after a long drive right at 3 pm mid-week in early September. We were the only customers there but they cheerfully checked us in and shuttled us to the put in on the Spring River. We strongly recommend this company and trip.

It's awesome! This is the perfect place to take your family. The cabins are very well kept. The grounds are neat and very well spaced out. Your overlooking the Southfork branch of the Springriver. We went to paddle Spring River. They did everything for us. The float was amazing and we took out at a private takeout. Take the time to do the Southfork tube float. We had a ball. Making plans for our next trip. If your looking for a safe fun family trip this is the ace.

Not a good experience at all. The staff was really friendly when we first got there... before we paid. But they got more and more nit picky the longer we were there. I was sitting, reading a book, while my family played by the river however, the fun was over when the owner started screaming at my family from roughly 200 yards away! How embarrassing! My family was only playing On the edge of the river; not making a big ruckus or getting wild, which is why it was so over the top for this woman to be yelling. Of course, they immediately stopped playing and came to sit around our table, totally confused by her behavior. Then the owners mother rushed over accusing us of “jacking up the grass.” For one, it’s a river; the bank has muddy parts... grassy parts... and some sandy bits and my family was playing on a muddy portion. They were not responsible for the state of the river bank; Nature Is. For another thing, we payed a ridiculous amount to play, fish, and swim for the day but this lady had the audacity to tell us we had “been having fun for, like, 30 minutes and that’s enough.” Really? And wait, it gets better. My youngest son took a bucket from the back of my husbands truck and was using it as a stool... the lady demanded our son get rid of the bucket. My son told her he was just sitting on it and she didn’t press the issue any further, but WHO MAKES DEMANDS LIKE THAT
We were as polite as we could be because, hey, it’s their business establishment, but their disrespectful behavior ruined the enjoyment we were having. We left not long after that and we won’t be going back. Public access points are free, their maintained by the game & fish, and best of all they are not lorded over by snooty, snotty, over emotional women who care more about controlling their customers than providing a quality experience.

Best campground ever!!! I will be returning!!! I loved it so much I wanted to sell my property and move up there. Everyone was very nice. Best place to take the kids if you want to avoid the big party crowd of Hardy. The Southfork Resort made our 10 year wedding anniversary one to remember for a lifetime!!! Did I mention best campground ever!!! Thank you Southfork.. The float life feels like the best lifestyle!!
