I feel bad posting this review because the workers were very kind. However, I feel it is important to share that the area surrounding this campground seemed very unsafe and extremely run down. There were numerous abandoned motels and buildings in the town. It felt like a post apocalypse town. We stayed for one night and I would never have stayed longer. It was also very loud with the expressway right there and you could see the billboard for the āadult superstoreā further adding to the yucky grimy vibes. I really donāt recommend this place.

Besides a place to park, this camp ground leaves so much to desire. There is a pool and a mini golf course (very small).
But the spots are tight at least for the small section of 50 amp hook ups.
The local town is a disaster. Stores don't have anything, are dirty and almost anything that was, is no longer in business.
Stray cats run the park, pissing all over your things. But the worst is it is a stone throw to the highway without any noise barriers, so after a week of constant cars and trucks passing, honking we couldn't take it anymore. We just wanted 10 mins of silence.
We will park in a Cracker Barrel before ever visiting such a place again.
One thing I learned is to check the locations of all future "camp grounds" to make sure we never make that mistake again.

Will not return and left 2 days early. Where our site was they have a ferrel cat issue. The RV across from us had about 6 or more cats. The cats used the tree next to my RV as a liter box. My husband went up to the office and they cleaned it up, well that made it worse. That evening there were 3 cats doing their business in the dirt and the next morning there was 4 cats. As I walked my dog I noticed cats under peopleās RVās also a lot of cat poo under RVās. One evening a cat walked all over our table and grill. Also another issue is that all the 50 amps spots are close to Route 75 and all night long you heard traffic also trains blowing their whistles. It seems like a lot of people live there and some of the RVās arenāt in good shape. The roads in the campground have large holes filled with water. The management needs to take better care of this RV resort.

We were here in November 2024. The staff was very nice. They told us to pick any site except 2 that don't have power. We had trouble, on our own, finding a site that would fit our 45 foot rig, towing a car. The car was barely off the road. Speaking of roads, they were sort of gravel, but mostly dirt, with some pot holes with big puddles of water. We have NEVER staeyed so close to I-75, lol. We could almost read the license plates of travelers. However, we slept well and the noise didn't bother us. The price was reasonable...$40 if you have a Sam's card. We wouldn't recommend for long motorhomes towing.

This campground is not fancy and some people will find things to complain about. Daniel and I liked it. The cons: You hear the traffic noise from the highway but, after a day or two, you tune it out. The noise did not keep us up at night. You will also hear a train going by multiple times per day but Daniel loves hearing trains. The sites are small and close together but thatās true for really expensive resorts, too. There are no picnic tables or fire pits at the campsites. There is a community fire pit. There are also some people who live here full time but none of the sites were ājunkyā. The facilities are older but clean and functional. There is a small putt-putt course, a pool (we didnāt use it because we were there in December), and an older playground. We were told there are new owners who are focusing on fixing up another campground in Florida before fixing this campground up. The pros: The people are really nice. Fellow campers, Scott and Corrine, who are there seasonally, manage the social activities. We joined in on bingo and glass painting. The other campers were super quiet while we were there. We got a great rate with RPI ($9.50 per night). There are plenty of things to do within a 1.5 hour drive. We felt safe in this campground. There are pecan trees throughout the campground and you can pick pecans for free. (Dec 2023)

Thomas was so helpful and friendly. My family and I were stopping overnight and would be arriving after the office closed and before the office opened in the morning. He left an envelope for us to place our payment. We ended up being there past opening so we went in and took care of the payment. He remembered our conversation and was so friendly. Thank you!!

Thomas was so friendly and kind. Called about an overnight stay on our way through and that we would be arriving late and possibly leaving before opening. He left an envelope for us to put $20 in before we left. We didnāt end up leaving until after the office opened and he was there and asked how our trip was and remembered details of our conversation. There does not seem to be a lot to do in the area but we will stay again and have stayed in the last. $20 for 30 amp and water. Several amenities as well. Doesnāt get much better than that!! Thank you!!

Spots were nice. The bathroom is horrible. The noise from the road is pretty loud.
