Stepping into Southern River Walk, I immediately felt the coastal Southern vibe the restaurant is aiming for. While it’s not an upscale spot, the relaxed decor and touches of Southern charm create a laid-back and inviting atmosphere. Soft rock hits play gently in the background, adding to the ambiance, though on my visit, the empty dining area did give it a bit of a quiet, lonely feel.

Cara, my waitress, was a delight—friendly and attentive without hovering. She checked in just the right amount, making sure I had everything I needed without overdoing it.

I ordered two dishes, both based on popular reviews I’d seen, and they didn’t disappoint! First, I tried the Crab Eggs Benedict, a twist on the classic with a Southern touch. Instead of the usual ham, this version features a crab cake, and it was a pleasant surprise. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy with just the right amount of seasoning. The crab cake itself had a great blend of spices that kept each bite interesting.

Next, I went for the country fried steak and eggs. This dish is Southern comfort at its finest. The steak was fried to a satisfying crisp on the outside, with a juicy interior that paired perfectly with the thick, smooth country gravy. The seasoning was spot-on, flavorful without being overly peppery. The grits were tasty, though I think they could’ve used just a tad more time to get that perfect creamy consistency.

The menu here is definitely tailored to those looking for a classic Southern breakfast, so it’s not the spot if you’re after a lot of dietary variety. But if you’re craving Southern staples, you’ll feel right at home.

My only minor gripe? The indoor-outdoor setup occasionally invites a lonely little fly to wander through, which is more amusing than bothersome.

Overall, I’ve had consistently great experiences at Southern River Walk, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. It’s a warm, easygoing spot to satisfy any Southern breakfast craving!

Took my daughters here for lunch for the first time. Our server was very pleasant and sweet. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Generous portions. My collard greens were so so good and my daughter loved her Alfredo pasta with chicken . We will be back! Maybe breakfast next time- I we can get there before 10 am. 😁

Obviously, the local music talent is pretty pedestrian… that being said. They seem to do a pretty good job of picking decent music acts. The food is generally very good. A couple times during really busy nights I’ve gotten some lack-luster dishes, but that’s to be expected anywhere when they’re massively busy. The service is straight up exceptional. Always attentive to the table. Very nice servers, polite. The sort of hospitality most of us have come to expect from the local businesses in Camden County. Love this place!

This place was a nice restaurant with much personality in St Marys.
We ordered the mushroom swiss bacon burger , spinach dip with chips and cheese sticks. We shared it all . The fries were crispy, hot and fresh.
The burger was juicy, hot and delicious. The spinach dip was hot and the chips were nicely seasoned.
I ordered the specialty drink St Marys Mud water (I think is what its called).
The specialty drink was strong but flavorful.

First time diners. Saw some of the great reviews and decided to try it out. Loved that we ran into neighbors. Place was very clean, bright and tables not all jamed together. There was music and 2 TV's, but again, not too loud. We could still chat with friends at the next table. Service was good and food hot. Ingredients were definitely fresh. We found this hole-in-the-wall restaurant on Google Maps. We were quite happy we did!! My Mahi tacos were amazing, and the fried okra—the best I’ve had in years!! Our waitress, Cara, was efficient, attentive, and just plain *nice.*
I rarely give 5’s if that says anything!
Oh, it’s **dog friendly** on a spacious, covered patio.
