My wife and I lived in Georgia, North Carolina, and Memphis TN where we had access to amazing barbecue places. Since, 2012, we have been dying for authentic southern style BBQ in Klamath Falls. Then I came across "Smokey to the Bone" BBQ. Kris even has the big towed grill that we saw thousands of times in the South but never here.

For our party, we had the most delicious chicken wings I have ever had. Hands down! Kris smoked them first, then grilled them. We had 200 wings for around 9 guests. There were maybe 10 wings left at the end. Kris had also these delicious sauces that he put the wings into: honey-ginger barbeque, sriracha barbeque, garlic-parmesan-butter sauce, and just plain smoked-grilled salt and peppar. Honestly, I couldn't decide which was best; they were all that good.

Kris was trained as a professional chef in his culinary program and it showed. On time, professional, and able to mix and speak with guest's questions or requests easily. Btw, the 200 wings were the first he had ever barbequed. He's really talented.

Kris catered a party for us and all our guests asked to take leftovers. I wanted an assortment of wings for the Super Bowl, he not only gave us the traditional buffalo wings, he customized two different sauces for us. He made a parmesan garlic flavor that became the party favorite, even for those of us that are committed buffalo fans. Then he had a BBQ flavor that had sweet bite to it, it had a sweet flavor but also a kick at the end. His sauces were wonderful. And because he brings the giant grill to your house, the whole neighborhood smelled great from the different woods he used. Kris is professional and best of all, he left the kitchen clean! We have also had his pulled pork and tri-tip, all were delicious and authentic smoked BBQ and believe me our family knows BBQ from having lived in Memphis. Hire him for your next event!!!!

Food was fantastic and arrived exactly on time. Everyone commented on the quality, quantity, and variety, especially the meats of Tri-tip, chicken thighs, and pulled pork. The accompanying sauces were incredible! Highly recommend Smokey’s to anyone looking to serve hearty southern BBQ. I already booked him for my next event!
