Good food. The dry rub wings were decent. The brisket tacos were amazing, as were the tri-tip tacos. We'd get those again for sure. We were new to the area and hadn't been here before, but not much help in determining what to order. Had to ask what kind of wing flavors they had.

My first time here at Smokey Mo’s, walking in you are greeted by a welcoming face at the front. He reads us the menu and what’s on special. I went with the pulled pork w/ fries, and my boyfriend went with the beef ribs w/ Mac & cheese. Also, came with a side of pickles, jalapeños, and pickled onion. Gotta say the food is juicy, tender and just melts in your mouth, obviously with bbq sauce. Would recommend to family and friends!! <3

Ate here 3 times in 2 days. It was great all three times. Husband & I ordered brisket, tri tip, & the ribs. Sides were potato salad & coleslaw. Everything we ate was delicious, Koolaid was perfectly sweet. Not toooooo sweet! The sweat tea was my favorite. Love supporting small businesses so we will continue to rave about this restaurant!

Came down from Wisconsin - had 4 meat, 4 sides sampler. More than enough for two people for only $30. Hot links were full of flavor! Greens cooked proper! Everything was really good. We will be coming back next time we visit.

I feel like it should be an option to put old bay on your bbq chicken and there wasn’t an option it Definitely through me off of the chicken also the chicken was super super dry me and my dog both choked on it. Also as soon as I walked in the restaurant smelled like sewage I ignored the smell because this place had such good reviews but the macaroni was good and again it had old bay in it. I am not a big fan of old bay and feel like I just wasted $15 dollars but you live and learn. If you love this is the place to be!! Staff was very nice and the only sugar free option they had was water or unsweetened tea.

Kansas City native here, this place does absolutely not represent KC BBQ. I honestly wouldn't even call this BBQ. I ordered the 2 meats, 2 sides, and a drink. The meat was 1 slice of extremely dry and flavorless brisket, and 3 thin slices of processed, not smoked, also dry turkey. The 2 sides were coleslaw, that had hair in it, and beans, which were obviously just poured out of a can. The picture shows this tiny amount of nasty food, for $20. Do not take this as an example of KC BBQ.

The Mac and cheese I ordered is the reason I’m giving it at least 3 stars. Besides the Mac, I ordered a pulled pork that was very, very dry. I just feel pork should be tender. Also, my wife ordered chicken which was also dry and smothered in Old Bay…even though the Mac was good, but we tasted old bay in that too. I’m sorry, but not everybody likes old bay, it should be an add on.

also, when we first walked in the place smelled like a bathroom. I first wanted a burger and I was told, “The burger guy wasn’t in today”. So, nobody else in there can flip a burger? Smh, do better.

The food is why you go here. We ordered ahead and the wait was less than they said. So that was nice. The place is small but they do have a cute patio back. There wasn’t anyone out there because it was night and a little cooler, but if I were to go back and eat there I would go to the patio because the dining area is tiny. The pulled pork and brisket were amazing. We ordered the 4 meat combo and got the wings and ribs with that. We also ordered the pulled chicken and sausage. I would highly recommend the pork and brisket. The sauce is yummy. I just wish that we could have had a side of it as well. The Cole slaw and Mac and cheese were good as well, but pretty typical for bbq. We got a bag of fried okra too and I would recommend if you like that kind of stuff. Which we did!!
