Heard about Smoked Magic from one of their employeess (shout out to Trace!) and gave it a try on my way from Pelham to Tuscaloosa. It’s off the beaten path but is exactly what a southern BBQ place should be. Simple menu, helpful staff, nice outdoor seating area. I had the pulled pork sandwich with the sweet heat sauce, baked beans, Mac and cheese, and banana pudding (not pictured). It was all great. Sauce was more sweet than spicy. The pork was juicy and not fatty at all and was a good portion. Baked beans were good but the Mac and cheese stole the show. It was so good that I got some for my wife to take home.

Their Taco Tuesday menu is outstanding! Love their other offerings as well especially the Johnny cakes and pork skins. Good little bbq joint that does a different special each Friday. Check them out!

I travel for work and love the smaller mom and pop places ! Food was prepared hot and fresh ! Customer service was wonderful especially for someone who has never been there and the loaded fries was the icing on the cake!

The bbq sandwich comes with the sauce on the side and you can pick from several I chose the spicy , I remove the top bun that has been toasted to perfection and see no pickles so I'm very skeptical at this point, who serves bbq without pickles!!!! I add the first small container of sauce and save the second to add to it as I eat the first bite I find the pickles hiding on the bottom and not just any pickles these pickles are amazing!!! The sauce mildly spicy and delicious as is the pork ! This place is legit! Looking forward to returning and trying the other sauces and the chicken because the BBQ sandwich was world class!!!
