We had a wonderful stay at the Smith House Inn! Rebecca was an amazing host. The rooms are clean, showers are hot, and beds are comfortable. The kids absolutely loved the game room. The breakfast was lovely. Rebecca offered to hold my 2 month old infant so that I could have a hands free dining experience. We had a wonderful conversation with her as she briefed us on the town’s information and history.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. We have a large family that stays up late laughing, and the inn keeper was very kind and accommodating. He showed my sister and I around the grounds and told us the history, we even got to feed the goats and hang out with the cat 😊 the beds were comfortable and the inn is clean with AC. Best part is that I fell in love with the four o'clocks on the property and just found a package of seeds with a note from Jim in my mail box as I requested months ago 🤗 we will be staying here when we come to town from now on!

What an amazing property! The Smith House was built as a boarding house, and if you squint your eyes just right, you can step back in time to a different era. My room was furnished with interesting antiques; the bed was comfortable, and I rested well. There are three resident dogs, all of whom enthusiastically welcomed me. Breakfast consisted of pecan pancakes fresh off the griddle, with tasty sausage, juice and coffee. Jim and I talked about my route getting there, and he helped me find a faster, more well-traveled route back to my home. It was a wonderful experience.

We stayed at Smith House for two nights in November while visiting family in Crosbyton. We decided we didn't want to inconvenience any family during our visit so we booked two rooms. We were so glad we did! It's like a step back in time. All the furnishings are authentic, the entire place is spotless and comfortable, and Jim was a wonderful host. Did I mention breakfast? Excellent! Jim said they're nearing the 100th anniversary of Smith House. Not many places are still around 40-50 years, much less 100 years! I hope we can return for that celebration! Thanks Jim for a very memorable weekend, one which we'll look back on very fondly.

Found by chance and so glad we stopped! It's rustic, looks like this is an old boarding house that's now being run as a B&B, and it's excellent! Great character to the house and obviously a labor of love for the family who runs it, a perfect gem of a place.

We were in town for the Crosbyton Jubilee & my husband's high school reunion. We are so glad we stayed here instead of Lubbock. This B & B is so charming & so rich in the history of this farming community. The rooms were so charming, the bed super comfy. The front porch was a wonderful gathering place, not only to watch the parade but to share stories & get to know the other guests. Breakfast was, not only substantial but also delicious! Probably the biggest bonus was getting to know the owner, Jim Hart! He has lead such an interesting life from his college basketball days through his long term career with Koch Industries along with his Christian ministries. He has connected himself with the local community & shared stories of the town's history that even my husband did not know. You really had the feeling you were staying with family! Charley's Eatery is a great place for lunch & Stuffology is a darling gift shop just a couple of blocks away with truly unique gifts, metal art, home decor, jewelry.||You will be glad you made the choice to spend some time at The Smith House!!
