Their homemade southern style food is really good. We go there after church most of the time. There are a LOT of people there! Once we had to wait for about an hour. But to us, the food is worth waiting for.

Food is edible, price is decent, staff is very friendly, love the waitress, the wait is the worst I've ever had. Five people got their food, ate it, and left by the time I got mine since I ordered. Somebody sat down in front of me five minutes after I ordered, ordered their food, got their food, ate it, and paid and left, while I still waited ten additional minutes before I got my food. I'm never coming back on my own accord. If you care about your time, drive to Little Rock or Conway, you'll get fed sooner...

After showing up to Bobby's the other morning and realizing they are closed on Sunday, and since my beloved Strouds is no more, I decided to try Smach's in Mayflower for my diner-food breakfast.

Walking in the door, there was no sign about whether to seat ourselves or not, so we did and after a few minutes, our waitress came by for drink orders (yuk, Pepsi.). A while later, she come back out with the drinks and took our food orders. I'm not griping at her service speed b/c she was one of 2 serving the entire full restaurant, but still...

I ordered 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon, and home fries. The eggs were cooked a perfect medium - which for some reason seems to be hard to find around here. The pancakes were ok, but nothing special, but the bacon...no bueno. I don't know if it was the brand they used, the way it was cooked, or what, but I've put leather in my mouth that tasted better. The home fries were...well, fried in a skillet. to some, that's fine. For me, I prefer mine to have a crust all the way around, not just on one side. Add to that the fact that they weren't all that crispy, I docked them a half a point. The flavor was there, it just wasn't great.

Price-wise, they are on par with most other places ~$10/person +drink/tax/tip. Location is easy to get in and out of and they are pretty easy to find, being as its Mayflower and all.

I'll go back and try them on a day when they aren't so crowded and try something different. Maybe the score will get higher. Until then, a solid 3/5 due to the bacon and fried potatoes.

Great food, excellent service and very reasonable prices. Especially enjoyed their delicious fries, an excellent Reuben, huge crispy battered chicken strips, plus a plate lunch with country fried steak, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy and really good rolls and cornbread. The homemade chocolate pie was to die for!

Passing through from Arizona to West Virginia. I had the best catfish I've had in decades. The pinto beans are great, just like at home. The hubby saw chocolate gravy he hadn't had since he was a kid in WV on the menu. We always look for family eateries to support, and we were really glad we stopped here. The atmosphere was comfy and patriotic, so we had to leave a few patriotic metal art pieces the hubby makes. We appreciate this family immensely. Good luck in the future, and God Bless.

Good food and friendly service. They are super nice and get full easy since they are one of the few restaurants but they will get to you in a timely manner. Haven’t had a bad meal there yet and I have ate there several times in past year.
