First, let me share the good part.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and spacious.

Normally, that is enough for me, but here is why they received a low review, and it is something that can be corrected.

1. Roaches
I was shocked to find 2 small roaches in the bathroom the first night we arrived. I killed them only to walk out of the bathroom and see another roach on the wall near the ceiling that i couldn't reach to kill.

Twice in one night, I killed two roaches, both in the bathroom.

Then, the next morning, how about there was a roach crawling inside of the toilet. Ugh!!!

Every day, I was killing roaches in the bathroom. I thought it was just there, but the second night, I saw something crawling on the desk on the tray where the ice bucket was.

We made it a point to not have food in the room.

2. The Shower:
In addition to having a large spacious room, the next thing that makes a nice stay is a nice sized bathroom.

That's the second thing that makes the room. So even after the roach incidents, little did i expect the shower handle to be BROKEN!

3. Amenities
Now, here was the next thing:
My husband decided he wanted to make some coffee. He opened the coffeemaker, and it had not been cleaned.

Lastly, we decided to leave a day early, and how about they tried not to give us a refund for the day we did not stay.

That morning, as we left out to take care of our business, my husband asked the manager if we could be refunded if we left early, and he said yes, only for the day of checkout they tried to not refund us for a day we did not stay.

Never should my husband have had to argue with people to get his money refunded.

So while I wanted to give the hotel 1 star because the beds were clean and comfortable for that reason I gave it two stars.

Now, as I said at the beginning, these are things that can be turned around.

A. Exterminate
B. Make sure the cleaners are doing their jobs in cleaning.
C. Periodically check to make sure everything is working and nothing is broken.

They can fix these issues.
They can turn it around.
Therefore, two stars is simply an opportunity to make changes and get better.

I hope they catch these things now.

BTW this was our second time staying with them and the first experience was not bad at all, but this one was poor.

When we checked we over heard the cleaning lady tell the front desk associate that no rooms on the 2nd floor were cleaned which was fine, but when given a room on the 4th floor the bathroom was not cleaned. The toilet seat had a black ring on it, there was hair and dirty towels in the shower. The elevator had a dirty floor where it looked like someone spilled a drink and they allowed it to dry and become sticky. When going to the front desk and wanting to change rooms the room we were changed to had a TV that did not work and when trying to call the front desk the phone in the room did not work. We stayed here a few years ago and it was not this bad, I understand staffing issues are everywhere but to not fully clean a room and allow someone to check into it is wild to me. The staff were friendly and were helpful but because the elevator was dirty, checked into a dirty room made me not even want to eat their breakfast because I felt as if the breakfast would be dirty. 🙁

The hotel was great. It was clean and miss Julie at night welcomed us with open arms after a long day. She made sure we had parking and were checked in easily.

The pictures below are of the blanket on the bed. Pretty sure that's poop in multiple places. It gets worse. Noticed this around midnight, went down to the front desk to ask for a different blanket - the receptionist would not give us a different blanket. Was v polite in describing the situation and asking for another - literally just wanted to sleep w a blanket without a stranger's poop on it. She said she didn't know where a blanket was. Couldn't get a clean blanket from another room. Just nah. Zero sense. Avoid.

Nice comfortable experience. Great location also. The Staff is wonderful, especially the Welcome Desk. Kaylee makes guests feel at home, and she's so nice on top of that!

The room accomodations were clean and comfortable. On our way home to Illinois, I realized I had left 2 dresses in the closet of our room. I immediately called the hotel. They found the dresses, boxed them and both staff and manager were able to accomplish mailing them back to me. I couldn't have been more pleased or thankful.

Bed was OK and it seems clean but how do you run out of coffee by 8am? No one manning the front desk. Breakfast was in adequate. I’d rather you just not serve it then.

I was at this hotel on 12/07/24 around 9:30 pm to check availability at this hotel and witnessed one of the most appalling scenes. The front desk agent was hurling racial slurs across the counter at another guest. I can’t believe this hotel would hire an employee of this caliber to represent their brand. Needless to say, I will never stay at this location or any location that is affiliated.
