My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this cute bed and breakfast! Charles, the on-site manager, was very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful! Enjoyed learning about the history of the bed and breakfast as it was a part of the Underground Railroad. Charles was able to upgrade us for free due to other rooms being available. The bed was large, comfy, and had a nice, large bathroom attached. Breakfast was tasty, too. Would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to our next stay in the future!

Had the opportunity to stay on this beautiful, historic property and so glad we did!
Both houses are gorgeous and learning all of the history of the property from Charles was great. We were greeted with a delicious breakfast each morning....Charles is truly talented in the kitchen!
Can't wait to stay here again.

Lovely old home tucked off of a busy road. Played a significant part in the Underground Railroad. Host, Charlie , was warm and welcoming and shared historical info about the house. Comfortable bed. Huge breakfast served. Furnishings do need some updating/refreshing. Over all, very nice stay here and hope to return .

The hospitality was wonderful! The home and my room felt very homey and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. |What made the experience best was the fascinating conversation with the host about the history of the house, a safe house on the underground railroad. Our host knew a great deal about the history, and I actually left 1 1/2 hours later than planned because the discussion was fantastic.|I would recommend this b and b, even though it's a little outside the downtown area.|

We stayed in Iris' Room, which is on the top (third) floor of the additional house. It did not look quite like the photo on the site, but it was large and clean and the air conditioner kept it nice and cool as well. It would have been a shared bathroom room, but there was no one in the other room up there, so we basically had that entire floor to ourselves. Breakfast each morning was prepared homemade and was excellent. This was certainly not the kind of plush bed & breakfast experience that you might choose for a honeymoon or anniversary trip or something like that, but it suited our needs for a mom and daughter trip just fine. We even got to hear about the history of the property and how the main house used to be part of the Underground Railroad, which was fascinating. I would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed two nights for a wedding at a nearby venue. Charles was a wonderful and kind host. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The entire home was beautiful with great design. The home is right next to a beautiful park and a short drive to great coffee and good. But the best part of the stay was the delicious breakfast in the morning.

I needed a selfcare day and this bed and breakfast establishment was a great choice. The onsite caretaker, Charles was fantastic. His outgoing personality fits well with this business. The house is beautiful and I loved the Victorian style. Learning the history of this home was fascinating and interesting. My pink room and bathroom were huge. The hot breakfast was delicious. I met a beautiful couple from South Carolina who've been married 53 yrs. We all had a nice conversation about our life experiences. I had a wonderful one night experience. The room rate was affordable and nice to support a small business owner. I look forward to staying here again in the near future.
PS It's off a busy street and the sign was a challenge to see when driving at night.
