The food, atmosphere and service were exceptional! We were part of a large party with a reservation. Everything about the experience was excellent. It's often difficult to get all of the dishes served at the same time, this was not a problem and every order was correct! We will be scheduling more events here in the future.

Great spot very fancy feeling. Prices are a little steep, but the food is so good it is worth it. Highly recommend for a romantic dinner spot " Valentine's Day" wink wink. Service was top notch. Found out they have rooms for rent and one with a hot tub. I will be back to try again.

Ate there last night food was good ,service was good. Only problem I didn't like was a 20 percent added to bill is for service fee. Didn't know the house gets the money and it not for the tip. Tipping is evtra not included .So make sure if you get good service tip them cash.

Son and daughter in law got married there several years back and the service and food are always great. Nice area back in there. We just go there to eat mostly.

Dinner was spectacular! Mini crab cakes appetizers, salmon with risotto and creamed spinach for the main course, then my wife had the creme Brule, and I had the cheesecake with raspberry drizzle for dessert. Everything was incredible! Enjoying the deck on such a beautiful, summer night just made it all the more exceptional!

We have had the restaurant at the Simon Kenton Inn on our list of places to dine for far too long, and we finally ate there recently. The steak was delicious, there was a variety of wine and cocktails, and wonderful appetizers. The servers were very attentive and the ambience inside the historic building was very warm and inviting. Looking forward to returning soon.

This place is simply AMAZING! We just returned from a 3 night stay in the Hickory Tree House and could not have asked for a more pleasant stay anywhere. The location is perfect for exploring ALL of the Springfield area. We completely enjoyed ourselves hitting a few museums and farmers markets and antiquing. ||This place is so great. The main house has been restored beautifully and has the attached restaurant and bar. There is a barn that was converted into rooms and there is a large building for special events like weddings. Then there are the 3 treehouses off by themselves. The whole place is so historic and private. Beautiful landscaping and hilly woods.||The treehouses were great with a large covered porch and nice amenities inside. Our treehouse had a queen size bed with a reclining loveseat. A small kitchenette area and a little table for two along with the bathroom. The kitchenette was stocked with basics like silverware, glasses, etc. and had its own coffee maker as well. Everything was immaculately clean and well cared for. ||Theresa (the owner) and Sheila are both amazing women. They are so warm and welcoming and work so hard to make the guests stay remarkable. You can tell they both love what they are doing and they do it ALL. Theresa cooks in the restaurant and also runs the inn by taking care of the breakfast area, meeting guest needs and cleaning. Sheila helps with cleaning and also serves in the restaurant. Both constantly inquired if there was anything we needed or that they could do to help.||The restaurant on site is soooo very good (read my review for just the restaurant. | The included breakfast was more than adequate to get you going for a couple days. There was various cereals, fresh fruit, muffins, hard boiled eggs, toast with multiple choices for toppings, and yogurt. Coffee, tea, milk and juice were provided. ||The room itself was so fun, you felt like you were in a cabin in the woods! Very quiet and peaceful with the woods and corn field all around. The only two suggestions I might make are the mattress was a little soft for our liking (could be a bit firmer). After a couple nights our back was feeling it. And the television in the room was very temperamental. We tried to watch but because it is on WiFi it repeatedly buffered throughout the movie we tried to watch. We noticed in the main house in the bar it was having the same issue, so it likely that there just isn't a strong enough WiFi available to the property where they are.||I would 100% recommend staying here. The price was reasonable, the service and location were amazing. We told Theresa when we were leaving we will be back for our next trip to Springfield for SURE!
