I have had the pleasure of staying at Shash Dine’ two times over the last five years. It is a gem! If you are looking for a spot away from the hustle and bustle, this is it. The hosts are generous, kind and thoughtful. Both of my stays have been in a hogan. The hogan offers a wonderful, disconnected experience with access to wide open spaces. I plan to travel to this area again, and Shash Dine’ is my first choice for a place to stay!

Our stay was perfect! The location was a perfect go between and distance for our excursions in the area kayaking. The fire pit at night with the stars and meeting people from all around the globe was an added bonus. Our stagecoach was a perfect, cozy and eclectic pick. The walk around the beautiful land and property will forever be cherished. Just magical! Everything was perfect.

We visited for 2 nights over the weekend and were delighted with our stay. We had the Kyoob and it was clean, comfortable, and beautifully presented.|I’ll agree with some of the other reviewers that it was quite pricey, but we loved it. |There is no electricity or piped water. They don’t have a well. Instead they drive thirty-odd miles each way (I think that’s what Paul said) to bus it on site, so they request that we use as little water as possible. It worked perfectly for us: the shower block (solar powered) is great and the long drop toilets are provisioned with lights, plenty of supplies and disinfectant wipes. The communal sink was clean and worked perfectly.|We didn’t see much of the owners. We were greeted by Paul on the first night, but we didn’t see either again. |Our main reason to stay there was to see the stars and boy, they have a lot of stars!|Totally worth it and we would definitely visit again.

I stayed here last year, and was so impressed with the location, accommodations, the view, the suggestions for adventure! The property is an eclectic collection of a variety of styles…mine was an old fashion Indian home, which was historic and very comfortable! Close to Page, Lake Powell and all the hiking opportunities are within an hour drive; the community of people that are staying and traveling here have all kinds of great suggestions! Highly recommend!

Our two-night stay at Shash Dine was magical. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. The setting is breathtakingand the tent we stayed in was perfectly appointed, with lots of space and a very comfy bed. We arrived in time to walk up to the mesa to watch the sunset and then enjoyed a delicious dinner by the bonfire in the common area. At night, we were able to stargaze from the deck. We woke just before sunrise and went back up in the mesa to watch the sun turn the surrounding hills pink. It was an experience that will stay with me always.

Amazing location right outside of Page! Very convenient for Horseshoe Bend and tours out of Page! The Kyoob was a lovely accommodation. Very clean and cozy for a peaceful night on the property. Bathrooms and shower facilities were very clean and secure. The surrounding area is beautiful. I wish we could have spent more nights there!

Honored to spend a night in a Hogan ! Comfortable and accommodating. No electricity, share bathroom & shower. But it is very nice to just relax and unplug for a night.Beautiful hiking trail up to the top of the mountain. Breathtaking view ! Would definitely recommend!

This stay, during our trip in February, was the highlight of our trip. Communication was clear beforehand and we arrived at the agreed time and were welcomed and briefed on how to use the wood burning stoves and the property. The kids especially loved the playful livestock dogs and the stars at night were breathtaking. We were honored to be welcomed into the ancestral hogans, and enjoyed our stay very much. Though there was a frost overnight, the bedding was more than adequate to keep us warm with the stoves going as well. I also enjoyed the beautiful walk along the ridge line on the property.
I would love to come back some day for a longer stay and look for juniper wood at home to burn in our fire pit so I can remember our wonderful experience there.
