This was a great B&B. The breakfasts were tasty and the beds were very comfortable. The inn was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Treats were served every afternoon - day one were oatmeal raisin cookies, day two were brownies. I loved the low key vibe of the owners. We had done some research on some hikes, but the owners highlighted a couple spots we hadn’t read about. Their suggestions were spot on and we enjoyed the hikes very much.

I can't say enough good things about Shady Oaks Farm B and B. From the friendly initial reservation interaction through check out, everything went like clockwork. I arrived later in the evening and was greeted by Melanie who told me everything I needed to know about the property, along with offering tea, cookies, etc. The home is lovely and since my stay was during Christmas time, the trees and decorations throughout really added to the holiday spirit. I even had a lit tree in my room! Suite 2 was very comfortable and roomy, with towels, toiletries, and water provided. The entire establishment is very clean and quiet - a nice respite from city life - while still close enough to Cleveland to see all the sights. (Christmas Story House and other attractions are an easy drive.) The owners were so sweet, they treated me just like family. I almost felt a little guilty for being so spoiled! I highly recommend Shady Oaks if you are looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of things to do and see nearby. I definitely plan to return.

We loved our stay! The hosts were welcoming and our room was very clean and comfortable. There are lots of great hiking trails nearby. All in all, a much better alternative to staying in a regular hotel. We can’t wait to come back!

First time visitors but will not be our last. Wonderful bed and breakfast. Owners were very welcoming and kind. Room was very comfortable and well done. The breakfast was fantastic. If you need to stay near Northfield Ohio you absolutely should stay here.

Shady Oaks Farm Bed and Breakfast: beautiful, a bit bucolic, and the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at. We had gourmet food for breakfast every day, and are over-the-top scrumptious! The place is ideally located, and evoked a feeling of tranquility and peace, as if you have traveled back in time into the 18th century.|The property is simply gorgeous and it is perfectly maintained. Suite 1 is elegantly decorated and spacious. It has a private porch with rocking chairs overlooking a small picturesque pond. Melanie and Jeff are wonderful hosts, and Melanie is akin to a gourmet chef. We can’t say enough good things about this place, and we highly recommend it.

My wife and I were looking for a unique way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and came across Shady Oaks Farm Bed and Breakfast near Cuyahoga Falls National Park. The reviews all looked great, but the experience itself was even better! I received a call from Melanie the proprietor asking if we still planned on checking in at 6:00, but our time-line had moved up and I told her that we would be there closer to 4:00 p.m., and she said, "No problem!" The house and grounds are beautiful and set back away from the road and other homes, giving you a peaceful and serene setting to immerse yourself in. The home is majestic, but very welcoming and so was our host! She asked if we had any special requirements or requests for brrakfast, and we said no and that we would be happy to eat whatever she wanted to prepare! She also asked what time worked for us, and decided on an 8:00 a.m. breakfast.|We settled in to our very comfortable room and then headed to a near-by restaurant for dinner and a jazz duet, and had a great evening.||The next morning we headed down the majestic wooden staircase and sat down to an unbelievable three-course breakfast! I don't believe that we have ever had the chance to be treated to a three-course breakfast, but I can honestly say that it was an amazing experience with superb service and Michelin Worthy cuisine!||We stayed for two wonderful nights, and enjoyed every minute of our stay! I would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in this part pf Ohio, this is the place!

Wow, our stay at Shady Oaks exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed every interaction with our hosts, who had excellent suggestions for our stay. Our room was perfect, spacious and well appointed. The breakfasts were scrumptious -- save lots of room so you can eat every bite. We enjoyed lounging on the back porch, sipping on coffee and tea, nibbling on those awesome cookies. Shady Oaks was centrally located to the numerous activities available in the area. We will return!!

This was the final stay on a 2 1/2 week road trip and it was FANTASTIC! Good thing it wasn't first or every other place would have paled in comparison. We had a beautiful suite with a separate sitting room and spacious bathroom. Everything was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious (and also beautiful!) Can not recommend Shady Oaks Farm B & B highly enough. We hope to go back!
