Keith, Val, and Zara (sweet boxer) were amazing hosts for our family stay at their cabins! If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place! Never seen so many stars at night! Loved the boat house and the fire Keith built. Clean, comfortable and chill! Thanks so much for having us. We'll be back and hope to have more time to enjoy it all!

Scouts Lodge was a highlight stay for us on a recent bikepacking trip along the Forgotten Coast.

The cabins are cute and clean (and have A/C), the beds are comfortable, the shower water is nice and hot, and we were treated to a delicious meal of salmon and grouper.

Keith, Val, and their adorable dog Zara are great hosts who made us feel welcome and comfortable and were very accommodating.

We enjoyed a beautiful sunset, a warm sunrise, and a peaceful morning of stretching and relaxing in their screened in cabana down by the river.

Great accomdations, superb value, and good vibes all around! We'll be back.

I really enjoyed my stay at Scout's Lodge. Stepping into the cabins feels like a warm hug from a friend. It's a beautiful property and Val, Keith, and Zara are wonderful hosts!

Keith and his wife were wonderful hosts! The cabins were beautiful, clean, comfortable, and just what we needed for a guys fishing trip. They were attentive to every need and even prepared us a delicious dinner with fish we caught that day. This is the epitome of southern hospitality in a pristine setting. We can't wait to come back again for another great weekend!

Stopped here during a bikepacking trip along the Florida coast. This place is a real gem! The cabins and boathouse are beautiful, Keith and Val are wonderful hosts. Three cabins on the property with access to an outdoor kitchen, a boathouse with an outdoor shower and hammocks, and their sweet (and goofy) boxer, Zara.

Wish we had planned for an extra day so we could have gone out fishing on the Gulf, ridden more of the trails in Big Bend WMA right next door, or hung out in the boathouse hammocks. Basically zero light pollution and very quiet.

We wanted something different this past holiday Thanksgiving to put in the memory books this year. So we decided plan an off-road ATV adventure with our closest family friends and stay at Scouts Lodge for a few days. The second that we arrived we were meet by there Zara Bell that was the sweetest loving dog to welcome all of us to the property. Keith and Valorie made our families really feel like we were part of there family throughout the entire stay. They both were very knowable about the history of the area, which i enjoyed listening to .As were returned back to Scouts Lodge from exploring the Hickory Mound Mgt Area on our atv's, it was a surprise to see the Keith made a blazing fire for us to sit and tell jokes around. The cabins were very clean and comfortable. We will defiantly be returning for future visits to the lodge. Hopefully we made the come back list. LOL. If anyone is looking for an peaceful, fun, relaxing place to get away with good people Scouts Lodge is the place.

Peace and quiet. The only sounds are those of birds, and the occasional boat on the Econfina River. Accommodations are top notch. The cabins are clean, inviting, and comfortable. I slept the best there I ever have. Hiking in the woods and along the roads was a pleasure. Evidence of wildlife abounds. Beautiful wild flowers at every step. Be sure and look among the resurrection ferns in the oaks and Southern Magnolia, you may find wild Green Fly orchids. Love this place and am ready to go back again.

I don't know where to begin! We have been twice and didn't want to leave either time!

If you want an "escape" from this busy and crazy world, this is the perfect place to go. The land is in a very natural state....NOT clear cut like most land.....very few signs....

Oohhhhh....and trees......LOTS and LOTS of trees and other incredible natural plant life.

It is peaceful beyond words!

The boardwalk leads to the boat dock. On the way, there is a screened in enclosure that overlooks the water. A VERY wonderful place to read a book, drink coffee, or just watch and listen to the wildlife. ( There are even some sinks for cleaning fish!)

The cabins are small but absolutely perfect! And SOOOO clean! NO CLUTTER!!!!!!
They mentioned maybe putting TVs in the cabins. I don't think they should! If there is a TV around, I will turn it on out of habit for the noise. (I do that enough at home) I DON'T want noise when I'm there! Nature is peaceful enough!!!! Yes, they have limited Wi-Fi for those who want/need it.

Oh.....I haven't mentioned the owners. I saved the best for last! They are two of THE MOST laid back people on this planet. Extremely likable!!! Easy to be around! They will NOT plunder the cabins! They would much rather be outside!!! My children are grown now, but I would totally trust them with a small child of mine. (and I am VERY protective of who my children were around!)

To top off this perfect paradise on earth, they have THE MOST BEAUTIFUL Boxer I've even seen! If you visit, bring balloons.....I've never seen a dog that likes to play with balloons before!!! It's really cute to watch her!

Well, I've probably said waaaayyyy too much. Thank you for enduring my rambling. Scouts Lodge is truly a paradise on earth!.
