We had our wedding here. I can’t say enough good things about it. The doors are open for you by an unmatchable energy of Vincent, who will also help you with luggage to your room. Abbey Pater was amazing and very communicative as our wedding coordinator. We ate at Fresh Salt a few times before so we knew the food would be amazing but we also got a food tasting for our wedding and confirmed it was fantastic. My wife and I were taken care of by our amazing attendant, Jen and Lucy. My wife also stated she was constantly checked on either by Abbey or Meredith, our coordinators, not just on wedding day, but throughout our weekend. We also had a beautiful couple’s massage the day before our wedding at their spa. I can’t express enough how excellent the service and details were. I would recommend Saybrook Point to anyone that is planning a wedding or event or even a weekend getaway.

The spa, pools, and fitness center were incredible. The fitness equipment was older but high end, and maintained to work like new. Year round, heated pools inside and outside were a pleasant surprise.

The room and common spaces, like everything, are elegant and beautiful. There are definitely signs of wear, but the care and attention of the staff is evident. Everything is spotless, fresh, and clean. The room was spacious with lots of natural light. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. The water pressure was very good, with lots of volume and great temperature. Towels were thick and fluffy. The bathroom amenities were great. The vanity even had a light up magnifying mirror. The bathroom was perfectly clean and smelled fresh.

The location is great. Beautiful view of the river and harbor. Just shy of two miles to walk into town. The walking paths around and adjacent were perfect for dog walking. I suspect that it gets much busier in the summer months.

What we didn't like. The heat in the room only went down to 68. While perfect for other people, it is too toasty for me. The thermostat is on a timer, so turning off the heat and cracking open the patio door would have solved the issue. Unfortunately, the heat kept turning back on. I don't like wasting heat, resulting in waking up to turn the heat back off. There are not many overhead lights, and we couldn’t figure out how to turn the light switch by the door on. Most stairs went outside, with no return option. Being able to scan back in would be nice for those of us who don't care for elevators. Mostly picky things that didn't impact our visit.

I absolutely loved it. The beds are so comfortable and our room and bathroom was immaculate. Food is excellent. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the pool situation. Very crowded and not that big. You have old timers that go there from the morning and don’t leave. Good place to go just for brunch. It’s amazing

Beautiful Inn. Excellent spa. I love this place my complaint is that we requested a room with a water view and we got a room overlooking the pool. The speaker for the pool area was under the deck to our room so from 8 am-9pm we heard a constant drone of music. I was extremely annoying. When we called the front desk and asked for the music to be shut off at 8 pm we were told it couldn’t be done because it was on a program. 13 hours of that was unacceptable. Also the pool was heated ( outdoor pool) in January this created vapor and we had a constant snell of chlorine that was nauseating. I am sorry because we were never offered another room. Old Saybrook Marina you need to improve your customer service. |We had two spa services which were excellent. However the spa was so crowded we had no place to sit and no locker for clothing. I had to out my clothes in a bag and give them to the front desk. Very unprofessional |I would stay here again it is very pretty very clean however would never get room 201. We would have been better off with a room overlooking the parking lot

My wife and I have been going almost every year (sometimes even twice a year)since we met 13 years ago . It has now become my birthday tradition to go every February. There is nowhere I’d rather be on an overnight stay. From the spa, pool, Fresh Salt restaurant, and the entire staff - it is phenomenal and never disappoints. I cannot recommend it enough. They are always making improvements and it always feels like a home away from home. |My only regret is that at 2 hours away, I can’t dine more often at Fresh Salt- my absolute favorite restaurant on the planet.

A stay at the Saybrook Point Resort was just what we needed. It's just a quick 1 hour trip from home, yet it felt like we were a thousand miles away. We took advantage of all the resort has to offer... the pools, sauna, steam, the lounges, and even a great meal at their restaurant, Fresh Salt. Kudos to the staff for always going above and beyond.

Stayed here for a night with friends to have a spa weekend. The spa services were great and we were looking forward to the other amenities (sauna, steam room, pool, hot tub), to find out that these amenities were for the whole hotel to use, not just the spa customers. We were expecting a quiet, relaxing time but the pool/sauna/steam room, were not that, which was disappointing. The room was nice and had a fireplace which we were able to have someone light. We specifically came here for the spa, but the whole experience was underwhelming for the price we paid.

I had chosen this inn for a relaxing spa day with friends on my birthday. Upon arrival no one had welcomed us for almost 5 minutes due to only one person at the front desk. Once we were checked in we had decided to soak for a bit in the pool. On our way to the pool we had noticed a lot of splashing in the pool area. Little did we know that during spa hours they have water aerobic classes and children running around. And no where is it posted that the spa facilities were shared with the hotel. I wanted to cancel my entire day at this point but i hoped for a better day. Next was the massage that was mediocre and not relaxing at all. The facial I received shortly after was very good. And I would like to thank Pamela! But my overall experience and cost of this spa ruined my day and chances of ever returning.
