We chose Rusty's due to location between Tucson and Las Cruces and the good reviews. Only stayed two nights, wish it was more. Very roomy well laid out sites. The surrounding country side is beautiful desert. There are several trails around, great for dog walking. The night sky, sunsets and sunrises were stunning. The property has chickens, goats, a duck pond and a small aviary area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The daily rate was great. The only negative is it is dusty, but this is the desert. Be sure to visit the Chiricahua Desert Museum and the Apache Museum next door. The drive up the road towards Paradise is worth it. We would definitely stay here again.

We love this park! The room is great because it's my motorhome. The service was awesome because it's my friends and I taking care of each other. Beautiful weather for Thanksgiving. I cooked the chickens. One was baked, and one was on the grill. Beer butt chicken. The whole thing was amazing. It is what it is because WE made it that way. The Ranch Staff was pretty cool too. The Minions on the boat are on the road on the way to The Chiricahuas on the AZ side of the border. With no light pollution, the night sky will blow you away! We'll be back.

We spent six nights at Rusty’s after arriving without a reservation. The owners were friendly and very helpful. The campground is very nice with big sites and many nice amenities . They are dog friendly and have a nice dog park. There is pond and lots of birds, especially considering they are in the desert. The showers are clean, great club house and everything is clean an well maintained. Our two sites had big rock fire pits and nice picnic tables. There are social meals a couple times each week and the atmosphere is extremely warm and friendly. The owners also went out of their way to accommodate our late decision to stay an extra three nights. It is only 20 minutes from Portal and The Coronado National Forest and an hour and a half drive to Chiricahua National Monument. Amazing sites and great bird watching. We planned on boon docking in the National Forest, but Rusty’s changed our plans. This is now on our list of places to visit and stay for years to come. Thank you Tim and Rusty!!!!

This place is GREAT! My husband found this gem before covid hit! Since then, we've been going there every year. Large, large pull-thru sites, wonderful clubhouse/laundry, pool, walking path, and those gorgeous views!!

Great accommodations, very quiet and serene. I enjoyed the time I spent there. If you get a chance to visit the rooster in the goat pen, please do! He gets so excited when he sees people coming. The aviary is beautiful as well as the pond. Somehow the wifi there is better than it is in some of the more populated cities. Can't really ask for much more in the middle of the desert!

The park is clean and peaceful. What a plus to be treated to so many animals. The views were amazing. Check in was easy and Rusty was helpful with tips during check in and even while making reservations! Tim was very generous answering questions as he fed the animals. Appreciate the heads up on when to show up to best see those porcupines!

We loved our chance stay at Rusty's RV campsite. We were on our way from Bisbee to Silver City and were just winging it. Passed by, saw the gorgeous site, and pulled in. I wish we could have stayed longer. Plenty of places to walk our 2 dogs including a large and small dog park area where they could go off leash and be enamored by 2 black swans. The spaces, complete with fire pits, pavers and picnic tables, were enormous. We loved that there were several astronomers there but the cloudy skies were a no go for them that night. The restrooms and showers were heavenly. We peeked in the common area and it was fabulous and welcoming even though it was empty at the time. Go. You won't be disappointed and the backdrop of the mountains is lovely.

Had a bit of a weird conversation with another guest while I was walking around with my kids. They have a pool (closed when we passed through) and animals! The kids loved the mini zoo experience. It was so dark it was insane! The bath house and the lounge were amazing. If you are staying for longer than a night it's probably really cool to go to the potluck and other events.
