We visited a friend in Nevada but also went to the Basilica in Cary along with dinner in Upper Sandusky. The Royalton was the perfect location for all of the above! While we really wanted to take advantage of the pool at the Royalton the hours were not in line with our plans. We were greeted by Kamy who could not be nicer! Simply super sweet from check in to our check out. The rooms are a little antiquated but they did what we needed. Provided us with coffee, bathroom, working tv, working AC/heat, comfortable bed and pillows! It's not a highly traveled location so there were very little reservations which in turn made for a quiet peaceful rest. The price was right!

Nice hotel right off of route 30. The lady at the desk was very kind and welcoming. Reasoning for 3 stars is a couple of things. 1. The hallway and room had a lot of dust along the sides of the carpet by the walls. 2. The coffee maker in my room was not properly clean. 3. I didn't realize until I got home that I had booked a two queen room, when I checked in i was given a room with only one bed, not a huge issue, but i was charged for a two queen bed not a single bed room. 4. Parking lot could definitely use some updates. 5. AC/Heat system in room could definitely use a refresh/ update. Other than above stated issues, the hotel was very nice and quiet. Not sure why other reviews are stating about bathrooms being locked? I did not have this issue and my bathroom was pretty clean.

This place is absolutely terrible. First off the walls were dirty,a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom,no safety lock,the lamps were stained, the wifi barley worked, the refrigerator was duct taped and didn’t get cold, and this lady was impeccable rude. When I came into my room the sheets were covered in stains and when I called and asked for new ones the worker said they were “clean enough” and walked out with the new clean sheets I had asked for. Then later on I couldn’t turn on the heater and when I asked for help turning it on she got mad that it was unplugged and kept talking down to me as if I was a child as she starred me up and down. And after everything I hear her ranting to another guest about how my room kept bothering this hotel and they didn’t want our business anymore. This worker was very rude and I would never stay at this crusty, dusty, and all over musty hotel again.

Rooms were good, faint odor in the carpet but beds were clean. Pool was open but shut down early in the next day for cleaning. Also breakfast was taken off the list due low staffing. Owners amd employees were extremely polite and friendly.

Why are the bathrooms always locked? Why advertise a breakfast you don't get? What's wrong with this place and the people who run it? Too many competitors to deal with this kind of stuff.

The hotel is nothing fancy. There is no continental breakfast. There is a nice pool. The hotel was clean. Janette was AWESOME! She works the front desk and is sweet and knowledgable and can handle stress well. She made the stay so much better.||Book directly with the hotel instead of through any reservation site. It offers more flexibility and great pricing. ||We had 4 rooms of 2-4 people per room booked. Janette handled the chaos. Everyone had decent nights of sleep. So for no frills hotel, this is a good bargain.

After eating lunch at Bob Evans, I walked over to inquire if I could sit in their very small lobby and do some work on my computer for a few hours before getting back on the road. As far as I could tell, I was the only person other than staff in the whole place. The very tiny woman who eventually came out of the back said no since I wasn't staying there. What little that I saw of the place did not make a great impression on me. I left and went to the Quality Inn & Suites down the road who were much friendlier and more accommodating. NEVER going to stay here.
