The pictures online do not represent the motel we stayed at. I loved the idea of a retro style motel, the only thing retro was the fridge and microwave. The fridge smelled like fish when we arrived. We also came hours away out of town for my sister's Bachelorette trip. When we arrived no one was in the front office we did not have enough towels or wash cloths for our group. And the reservation was for 4 people, so we ended up having to go find something to shower with. We also never had our room cleaned, or clean towels offered. The next morning after we arrived we had to go get more. The entire trip our room was never cleaned, nor were the services offered, also the floors were dirty. We had to find a broom and dust pan and clean the floors ourselves. While the location was perfect for what we needed, I will not be staying here again. The beds were extremely uncomfortable as well. This would be a great place if some things were updated, if you were given a bucket for ice for your room, and the shower outside the pool worked as well. I did however like the idea of a code to get into our suite.

My fiancé brought me here for a romantic weekend away. Place is really quaint and quiet. It’s adorable and the rooms are super cute and clean. We visited while it was still cold out so we basically were maybe one of 3 guests the entire weekend. Which made it super private and enjoyable. There is a pool, however at 30 degrees outside to cold to use. Beach is literally walkable (across the street). The whole island is quiet and a 35 mph speed limit. Not lots of traffic and frankly a perfect spot to get away. This motel was above expectations and I really hope to visit again soon. Check

We booked a last-minute trip and this place was available. They are very outdated and yet give off a chic retro vibe, they’re making it work. The staff was amazing!!! The room was decent enough. The walk to 9th street, directly to the beach was quick and easy. I am glad we stayed here and would stay again.

Clean room and space was efficiently used. Bed was comfortable. Easy checkin. Pool looked nice. Room was temperature friendly. The motel was in great location- three blocks from beach, easy safe walk. We will stay there again as it’s a great value to stay on island and near the beach.

We came to Tybee for the first time and wanted to stay in something other than the normal on the beach hotels. We booked a room and were not disappointed. It was spacious, nicely decorated to reflect the rest of the motel. The beds were very comfortable and it was a very clean room. Good air conditioning! It is a very short walk to the beach across the street. And close to restaurants and shopping. We were made to feel welcome and at home by Miss Cynthia our hostess. We will surely come back and stay again!

Little nostalgic motels like this need to be kept alive! We loved our stay and out of our entire weekend it was our favorite motel we crashed at! The room was very clean, the pool was very nice and warm. Cold AC, hot water. Even the beds were comfortable! And the location was everything! It was maybe a two minute walk to the beach, we didn’t even have to drive and where we did drive to it was super easy to get to!

I was so excited to try this place, the reviews all talked about it being small but clean. I could do that.
We arrive and our small room looks cute. I check the bed, and don't see any sign of bed bugs, but do see a live black bug of some sort that might have had wings crawling in the bed. It creeped me out but I was going to ignore it. We leave for a couple hours, and when we come back I see another bug crawling across the pillow. At this point there have been 2 live bugs in the bed and I'm uncomfortable sleeping in this bed.
I called the after hours number and left a couple messages, and then we left for dinner.
I did get a call back, and the lady was very nice. She did give us another room, and sent the info so we could get in when we returned.
This new room had a clearly dead black bug with wings in each bed, but I felt better that at least nothing was alive. The ac didn't work in this room, which I did mention, but it was late we were only staying one night and I just wanted rest. The temp wasn't extreme one way or another so it was ok. Once it's all said and done I wouldn't stay here again.

Excellent for the money. Older motel that has been renovated. You can walk to the beach. I showered with hot water, slept and felt rested, and the room was clean. AC is a window unit but it does have an excellent snow setting. If funds are tight or you just need a night for some type of layover, I recommend.
