Dirty. The sheets were not clean (hair grease grease and hair on pillow and sheets). There was an odd smell in the room, that wasn3coming fro.the car air freshener we found. There were also some dead bugs in the windows and bathtub. We got our money back and went elsewhere.

Price as advertised. Check in was done through glass, you aren't allowed in the lobby. The rooms aren't cleaned daily. The room was ok, bedding was clean. The lights did not work in the bathroom area. We figured out the GFCI outlet was tripped. The lighting was still bad, dim the extra bright then strobing. When we entered the room, it was stifling. The air conditioner was not turned on when the outside temp was in the 90s. Continental breakfast was advertised but non existent. The employee cited COVID restrictions for the closed lobby and lack of breakfast. I would not recommend staying here.

Website said per friendly but is not. Carpet feels wet. They would only let us have one pillow. And they wouldn't refund my money cause I had a dog. Side table has no bottom and their is no coffee maker. I found spiders in the bathroom and the bathroom floor stayed wet. I will never stay here ever again

So here's a post-covid review of the Royal Inn. Room was adequate, nothing extravagant. Check in was in the foyer, not allowed access to the lobby itself. This meant no breakfast whatsoever even though it's mentioned in the listing. The hotel wasn't close to any restaurants that I could see (saw them further down toward the interstate when I was leaving the next day.) It was ok to spend one night but I wouldn't make it a destination accommodation.

The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. Staff was welcoming and polite. The "Continental breakfast" was very disappointing. Prepackaged honey buns and muffins straight out of a gas station, 2 choices of sugar cereal with milk that expired a few days ago, bagels to toast but didn't see anything to spread on them . No healthy option! A piece of fruit choice would have been welcomed!

I live in douglasville so I was familiar with this hotel. I needed a cheap room to spend the night due to a small fire in my home. The royal inn had the cheapest rates. When we arrived at the property check in was a breeze. I had called ahead to inquire about accessible accommodations. The clerk saved the room for us even though we arrived 30 minutes later than we anticipated. The property was very clean and quiet. Our room was quite clean and the AC was ice cold. The beds were super firm and a little uncomfortable. A large roll in shower and elevated toilet was very accommodating for my disability. A great TV with HBO made for some good entertainment. Even though the room was on the front of the property it was peaceful and quiet. We were able to get a good nights rest without being disturbed by noise. A free breakfast of waffles and cereal made for a good start to the next day. Unfortunately there was no in room coffee maker as advertised. There is a gas station convince store across the street that had coffee and pastries. Since my house was still in disarray we requested another night. Housekeeping did a wonderful job cleaning up and having us set for another night. 11:00am checkout allowed us time to rest enjoy breakfast and get packed to return home without feeling rushed. I would gladly stay at the royal inn again if I need a cheap place to sleep. It was a pleasant surprise and a good value for the money. No in room coffee maker extremely hard beds and a very limited breakfast menu were the only cons against this motel. Clean quiet a good staff and cheap prices are among the pros. Highly recommended.

the owners are very cheap, and rude. carpet was filthy. there was 6 of us traveling together in 2 rooms, each room only had 2 towels, and 2 rags. when asked for more, they gave us 2 more. then the other traveling with us went down to get more, and they made us give them one of the towels we got. on the 3rd day, (we did not want housekeeping) we asked to trade out towels, they gave us 2 each and said we would have to wait until the others washed and dried, and there were maybe 40 people tops staying there? when we finally did go ask for more towels, they were very rude and would not give us any until my sister and my wife got very nasty with them. then to top it off it was the day for us to leave, and one of the male workers was standing down in the parking lot stalking us, and at 11:02 the lady was knocking on all the doors of the ones who were supposed to check out at 11 asking if they were leaving yet, we were out of our room, but the ones next to us were still getting luggage out. the breakfast consisted of 2 kinds of cereal and coffee, the carpet in our room had burn holes all in it, we spilled something and trying to do the right thing and dry it up, was sprite, and the towel we wiped it up with was black by the time we dried the sprite up. the beds are not very comfy, very hard almost like sleeping on the floor. the ac worked good, but was either on or off. no in between. the room did have a fridge, and microwave, tv had lots of channels, location is convenient, and quiet. for the price it was ok, the staff was awful, and the service even worse. could use a little updating, and it is very obvious the owners are cheap. there was also no hair dryer which the women did not like. the shower curtains looked really old. would stay again if only for 1 or 2 night, but not for 5 like we did this go round.
