What a great show! We went to the sushi night this past Friday and had so much fun! Sandy was so personable and funny despite her having to deal with her microphone not working which I can imagine must have been very difficult to work through.
The food was really good. The udon noodle soup was absolutely delicious! This is one of my favorite dishes when going out for Japanese food and it ranked among the best. The tuna hand roll was beautiful and tasted super fresh. The California roll was good for a California roll. The other dish with the shrimp (I forget what it was called) was interesting and had lots of different layers and textures.
The DJ was playing good "oldies" which everyone knew so by the end we were all singing and dancing. I didn't expect it to be the fun party experience that it turned out to be.
It was overall a really fun and different experience and we will definitely be going back!

I can't say enough about how amazing Sandy & her staff were. Sandy is hysterical! There's a fantastic DJ. He did a birthday celebration for my husband. We danced it was truley a wonderful time.
The food was excellent! Sandy puts on a fabulous demonstration. Everyone there is very warming & welcoming. We meet the most wonderful people in the audience. We will definitely be back with our friends! If your looking for an experience, a fun memory, date night etc I would definitely recommend Romance The Pan! Sandy & her crew will definitely not dissapoint you! BYOB
Don't forget to watch her on A&E FYI January 20th!!!!!!!!!'

I attended the show at Galleria twice, and both times were a lot of fun. Sandy is not only entertaining, but gives you great ideas on how to make amazing but simple food at home. The crowd has always been very friendly and positive, and we make new friends every time. Thanks!!

I can't imagine what Rebecca is talking about with her poor rating of Sandy's show. The sushi was amazing as all of her cooking show meals have been. Sandy is entertaining and an incredible chef. Don't miss an opportunity to go to one of Chef Sandy's shows. You will not be disappointed. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would.

I've been to a number of Chef Sandy's Friday night shows, including sushi night. They're fun and the food is very good. The experience is about gathering with good natured people, eating some good food, enjoying a cooking demonstration, and having some fun. Each time I go I meet new people, share some wine, and have a laugh (sometimes at silly jokes). It's a great way to spend an evening when you're looking to get out. If you're looking to be catered to as if you're in a five star restaurant then maybe it's not for you, but if you're looking for a fun night out with good people and good food then you can't go wrong.

The Romancing the Pan event last Friday was the highlight of the year. I absolutely loved how Sandy entertained us and her food was better than the top restaurants in Connecticut. I would join in the experience again anytime, anywhere. That's how good it was.

This is a scam. It is nothing what you would expect from the description. We attended the sushi cooking experience and were completely shocked. Sandy began the "show" by fumbling around with her mic. She never got it working. It was BYOB which apparently meant even water. After the first hour when no water was served, I went out to my car to get my water bottle. Sandy knew very little about what she was cooking. Her dialogue during the "show" was uninformative at best. At times, she was incoherent. When she admitted she is not a trained chef, I wanted to walk out. Her jokes were belittling to the staff and not funny in the slightest. For the appetizer, we had to stand in line and serve ourselves buffet style on Styrofoam plates.

Another hour went by between the appetizer and the dinner. I learned nothing about making sushi from Sandy's demonstration. She had little to no knowledge to share on the matter. When the sushi meal was served, my plate contained only two pieces while the others had four. It was honestly the worst sushi I have ever had and I eat grocery store sushi regularly. I was so disappointed by the experience. The DJ did nothing to improve the experience. The DJ, whose mic was working, loudly made lame jokes and played very loud wedding music from the 70s and 80s, which really made no sense at a sushi cooking experience.

Throughout the "show" Sandy threatened us not to write negative reviews online. This leads me to believe that all these positive reviews are fake. The price of these tickets is robbery. This really felt like a scam to me and I would not recommend this to anyone. I'm frustrated that she feels justified in charging so much for these tickets. The entertainment and food is absolutely not worth a dime.

I really hope people see this review so they don't end up wasting their money and their Friday night. If you are looking to be entertained while learning a bit about cooking and enjoying good food in a fun environment, look else where.

Had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was energetic and food was great. Sandy was at ease in the kitchen and interfaced with the audience. The music was fun and the audience seemed to really enjoy themselves.
