I chose this hotel as a stopping point before going to Lake Martin for its price. It is the filthiest hotel I’ve ever been in. I should have left. I got out my Clorox Wipes to clean the surfaces I would touch, and they turned brown.

The refrigerator had an ice bucket with ice in it. Most of the lights/lamps did not work. The sink are had dark, dirty spots all over it. had to hold the on button on the wall for the hair dryer to work—no way to style your hair and dry it at the same time, and the cord was gross. I could go on….

I can’t believe this is a Choice brand hotel.

I booked a room at rodeway inn in Sylacauga Alabama months before my trip, and I was told there was a pool. When I checked in for my room I was told the pool was not working.
I was told the pool needed a motor. That is false advertisement. I found out that this pool has not been working for a long time. There was supposed to be a breakfast that came with this motel and there was no breakfast or anything. The only service that you get there is just a basic room.

The hotel has gone downhill it needs a lot of repairs. The toilet seat was coming off. I told them 3 times, and no one fits it ,I was there for 6 days, no clean sheets, and management doesn't care. I went to a nicer hotel down the road.

It was unacceptable. The service was good but the rooms was disgusting. My first room the ac didn't work in the middle of summer as well as a disgusting room. I got another run thr ac worked but the bathroom was filthy as well as the bed

I wasn’t expecting much from this based off location but it was right where I needed between two days. The staff were friendly but the room was pretty terrible. There were cigarette holes burned into the sheets (we had a nonsmoking room), there was no blanket just basically a sheet and a “comforter” but that was just as thin as the sheet. The shower had a used bar of soap and bottle of shampoo in it and there was hair one the floor throughout the bathroom. Questionable stains on the chair and one towel. I’m a choice hotels member and this was one of the worst I’ve ever stayed in. I was by no means expecting a high quality motel but I was expecting a clean room at a bare minimum.

Very bad condition. The place initially looked well and newer. After checking in and going into my room. First to notice carpeted baseboard peeling away from way. Actually debri on carpet, candy wrappers and such between bed and nightstand. Broken bathroom mirror. The bathroom floor was filthy and what appeared to be a very loose(used looking) towel above toilet. The toilet wasn't even attached to the floor and moved every time you sat on it. The luck with the fridge was the same. It was froze up with something red hanging out of it. I spend roughly 8 hrs here and checked out during morning hours. I still haven't been refunded for not staying the next night. And be forwarded they charge you for your stay. Then place a hold for another one night amount without telling you. But it came off 2 days later! Still waiting on one night refund though!

The receptionist was very and friendly and bubbly (hate i didn't get her name). The receptionist is the best thing about this place room has a broken curtain that i rigged to get it give some sort of "privacy". Don't bring your stuff in it's roach city and they are not shy!! Requested a late check out which gives me an extra hour, told house keeping this and she yells "I'm about to call downstairs Its not on my paper." Despite all that decided to rebook the room for extra rest only to check my account and see an additional transaction from them yet they "can't find it in their system".

Stayed at this place that had been renamed the Rodeway Inn for just the one night while passing through Sylacauga on the way to FL. Apparently Quality Inn sold the place. There was nothing special about the room as it was just the standard room with one king size bed but at least it was pretty clean from what I could tell. No obvious dirty spots stood out enough to be noticed anyway. The bed was comfortable, and the AC and shower worked very well with good water pressure and the hot water started flowing pretty quick. The TV had enough channels to make it easy to find something to lull yourself to sleep with. Overall I would grade the room a C-.||The few complaints I might have were that the swing latch for our door was broken and our bath towels. Though they were very clean, one of them had a couple of sizable holes in it. It was obvious that the holes had been caused by someone putting too much bleach in that one spot of the towel because it you folded it in half the two holes lined up perfectly. But at least they were clean. The last part of the complaints were the pool was not available due to someone putting so much chlorine in it that you would suffer chemical burns so it was locked up and finally, the hotel no longer serves breakfast since Rodeway took over. Not even a continental breakfast at this place on the date of our stay. ||Bottom line is it was a comfortable bed for one night on the road and that is about it.
