I stayed in the Honeybee Cottage which abuts Hwy 1. I read many reviews about traffic noise so it was a surprise when I found that the noise was hardly noticeable and I didn't need the earplugs I brought. Maybe it's because I was only there at night and would leave early in the morning to explore Point Reyes.

The room was clean, tastefully decorated and updated. The comfortable bed was it's biggest strength. I've stayed in nice hotels with terrible mattresses so my back was happy. Honeybee is next to Robin's Retreat and a private residence, presumably the owners. Wifi was good and everything else was in good working order.

Booking the room was handled with the owner via text and was pretty seamless and straightforward. I didn't make use of the small kitchen area so I can't speak about that. There are good markets nearby as well as restaurants.

The location is conveniently located close to Point Reyes Bear Valley Visitor Center. It was an overall pleasant stay. My main regret is I didn't get to hear the owls that I read about on this property. Maybe next time.
