The lodge was recently renovated, but unfortunately there are real problems. We had little hot water the weekend we were there. Options were a lukewarm shower in the evening or ice cold one in the morning. Arrived to find the bed made only with a sheet. No blankets. No blankets were available at the desk. Blankets were promised when housekeeping showed up in the morning. Never saw housekeeping all weekend and never received any blankets. Several other guests told me they were in the same situation. For an inn charging $150+ per night, I would expect basics like hot water and blankets. The weekend staff doesn't seem to know much. The lobby is only open from 8am to 9pm. Otherwise it is locked up and you are on your own. Saw lots of trash not picked up around the grounds. It is a shame, because the facility was renovated nicely and the park is beautiful.

We love coming here as a family. Very happy the state invested more into this park. However, the lodging units are not being maintained..and it’s only 3-5yrs old!

Problems, check-in process after hours and unit’s functions.

We checked in after hours, they have a lock box for guest to receive their key card when the desk is closed, no problem right? Until multiple key cards don’t work. At 2am a supervisor drove in to let us into our unit w their key card - didn’t work. The lock had a hard key slot but nobody on call after hours has a metal key as this would’ve solved the problem. Further more supervisor said he wasn’t allowed to have one lol. So they put us in a “spare” room till tue next day. This issues took 1.5hrs to resolve. However as I called several numbers (posted on lobby’s glass door) to resolve this issue, all had been receptive and respectful. There has to be a better way to manage this situation when operating a lodging facility.

Suite 201. Stayed her before and loved it. This time around it look unmaintained in at least a dozen areas around the unit. The unit has not been cleaned well as the floor was filthy (we had to put our shoes back on). After asking the front desk this issues was fixed within hour. Secondly, fixtures, sealant/chocking, and paint are coming off in multiple areas of the unit. Sad to see as this build is fairly new (post Covid). Btw, I actually didn’t mind find a lil red bat (see pics) hanging/sleeping from our unit’s duct vents - welcome to eastern Oklahoma!

All and all, lots of lack of attention to detail that can depreciate the taxpayer’s/customers experience at this great facility.

No blanket on bed? They didn’t have any available either. Other than that the stay was nice.

A very nice state park. The lodge is good. It's not quite as nice as Beavers Bend. I'd be happy to come back.

Me and the wife spent the weekend here and stayed at the lodge. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The view from the back of each room is stunning. The backs of each room have their own exit with rocking chairs and a table. We loved watching the sunrise from there with our coffee. They have an outdoor gathering area with tables, lights, and fireplace. I have only two gripes: the pillows are.... the best description I can make is that they are like ziplock bags half filled with air. When you lay your head on them, your head goes flat, and it pushes the air to the sides that squish your face. And they were out of regular coffee. We had to drive into town to get that for our room.

Our church group goes every year🥰 We had a wonderful time. The cabins were clean and tidy with more then enough bunk beds for entire families. Mattresses, although covered in plastic were very comfortable. We had cabin with bathroom, the bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water for washing up and showers and plenty of toilet paper. The main lodge/kitchen/dining room was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals and more then enough tables and chairs. The walk-in refrigerator and freezers worked extremely well. The grounds were clean and well kept.

Cabins are super spiffy and updated.
BE WARNED!!!
They now have the same electronic key card system as any hotel so don't get locked out after office hours. You can call the emergency maintenance number (posted outside the main office) or dial 911 and tell them you are locked out.
