Yes this is an older hotel. HOWEVER you couldn't ask for a friendlier staff! As with any hotel pictures the best are chosen to represent the building. With that said anyone could find something wrong with anything. With a background in housekeeping for a large retreat I can pretty much find something wrong with any hotel. So here is my review. For the older building and what they have to work with. I am giving this a 5 star review. There were a few things I mentioned to the front desk and they were very receptive. If you are looking for an inexpensive place close to I-5 with a staff that just can't be beat this would be a great choice. At first we thought being close to the road would be loud. However the building is brick and the sound was not a problem. We did have a noisy downstairs guest and the front desk was amazing on how they handled that situation. Would not want the night clerks job but as with the day staff they were on it. We stayed 4 nights so we had a mix of weekday and weekend to base this review on. Thank you Anne and the rest of the staff for a great stay!

This is a decent motor inn but grossly overstated advertising. The garden view room overlooked the parking lot with the riverbank on the other side. Breakfast was just Bagels and coffee and cereal. However, the rooms are clean and freshly remodeled. If you lower your expectations to what a normal motor inn will be then you'll be happy.

Friendly and respectful staff who are always working onsite to ensure cleanliness of the property and fix any issues that come up.
The free small breakfast of basic breads, juice, cereal and coffee was a nice plus as well.
In addition our kids loved the benches and small trail near the riverfront.
Upper rooms also have a nice covered balcony for rainy days to just sit and enjoy the view while listening to the rain.

Ok- anyone giving this 4-5 stars have clearly never stayed at a real 4-5 star hotel. This is a converted motor inn, think if someone took an old Motel 6 and cleaned it up a bit. They made the effort to update it in as much as they could but it’s still an updated, old hotel. The location is busy and noisy. Need a place to crash overnight? Fine it will work for that anything beyond look elsewhere. It’s just ok, nothing fancy. Pictures are pretty deceiving.

Recently spent the weekend and really wished I had known about this absolute GEM when I had been driving back and forth from California. The Staff is great and really nice. This is not a fancy hotel but it's clean and centrally located. The breakfast isn't huge or extraordinary but it's sufficient and starts at 4 AM.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Riverfront when we were travelling with our border collie/ Aussie shepherd cross pup and she enjoyed the area adjacent to the river. There was nice grass and trails and a gorgeous view of the river and town on the other side.
The complimentary breakfast was put together for us based on our selections making it very relaxed to pick up and bring back to the room.
The room itself was clean and comfortable for my wife and I and our pooch.
Although we stayed adjacent to the lobby which was convenient I think staying in the back facing the river would be very nice too given the view.
All in all it was a great experience and will stay there again for sure :).

I had to double check the reviews online because I remember them being overwhelmingly positive but upon checking in thought “this must be a mistake!”

Upon first glance, the room seems clean. It had a weird funk to it so I went to open the window. Similar to what others reported - literally hundreds of dead gnats on the curtains, in the grout on the window, and who knows where else. The bed frame was dusty as if it was not regularly cleaned. Several bugs appeared in the room within our short 1-night stint. Initially I had asked about a late check out so I could handle a meeting before I left but later decided - no way. Apparently there was a charge for late checkout though the woman at the counter couldn’t tell me how much.

While the room was generally quiet and the river was quite pretty - you’re also next to a train track and can expect to hear the that through the night.

The room did have a refrigerator and microwave which was nice but overall the amenities were quite limited.

The room was affordable and on par with other hotels in the area. If I had to do it all over - I would stay somewhere else. The sheer volume of bugs in the room induced anxiety in me and I couldn’t get a wink of sleep

Random stop for me on a long road trip with a pupper. *Super friendly* check in, great little river front dog walking area, room is clean, well equipped and very affordable! Recommend.
