This was our second time staying at bearhogs! We absolutely love the cabin. It was clean, well stocked on towels and wash cloths and kitchen supplies. It is a beautiful cabin. That has a great view and is secluded so you have privacy. The hot tub is amazing and it is our place to come together for peace, quiet and time alone from the busy life of raising 5 kids. The owners have always been very friendly and helpful until we had a tragic incident occur that required us to head home after our first night in the middle of our stay. This was unexpected and out of our control. We were feeling discouraged about our weekend ending early, stressed about the situation ahead and contacted them to see what options would be available as we had to leave around 10am. We were met with a person who had no heart. we understand policies but as a family owned company you would think they understand emergencies happen and would have grace in these moments. Not the case. it seemed they were more focused on making money and not any concern for their guests. we found this cabin and fell in love with it, excited for a new place to escape each year but after this experience we will not return and do not recommend. We were told she would speak to the ownerjust to neverhear back.

My husband and I enjoyed a great weekend at the Bear Hugs cabin! It was a very cute and cozy cabin in a secluded area. The cabin was clean and well-decorated. It was a rainy weekend, unfortunately, so it made it a little hard to get our car up the hill, but we made it! We were impressed with the many towels there, the nice gas grill and the fire pit area. The hot tub was nice, although the bar on it was broken and it was hard for my husband to put the heavy cover on it two days in a row. I fooled around with the TV for almost an hour to find out there was no TV service and we were hoping to watch an NFL game. The TV was there for the use of DVDs, which there were many to choose from. There was no Wi-Fi, which was an inconvenience, but we made the best of not having it. Also, there was no hand soap in the kitchen, which I missed. I do believe the pros outweigh the cons and would stay there again. All-in-all, we had a great stay and would recommend Bear Hugs to others.

My husband and I stayed here so we can volunteer to help remodel the local Kingdom of Jehovah’s Witnesses and loved it! So close to not only the site but also to the city of Logan if we needed any groceries or a restaurant. We ordered firewood from them and it was there on the porch when we arrived. Easy to get to and so clean. Everything provided except,of course, food. You may want to bring matches and “kindling” to start a fire in the fireplace but we didn’t have any troubles with it. Such a cute cabin for just a couple or, maybe three people.

I stayed at the Cozy Cub and it was exactly as described and what I was looking for. It was a perfect respite from every day life. The cabin was clean, and had everything that I needed to enjoy my stay. Booking, arrival, stay, departure, was all seemless! The directions provided in the check in email made it easy to find.|It was close enough to Jocking Hills State Park and Logan Lake. I would definitely stay again. Thank you, gor an excellent getaway!

My wife and I have stayed at a number of cabins in Hocking Hills and this was among the best. It was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The hot tub was cool when we first arrived but by the time we finished dinner it was at 103. The bed was comfortable, everything worked and the HVAC thermostat was easy to understand and use. This cabin is fairly close to Logan and the Hocking Hills Coffee Emporium - a real find for our teenage daughter! The only suggestion I would make is to replace the silverware. We cooked steaks on the grill and only had one steak knife. But seriously, if that is my only suggestion that's not bad!

We stayed over the New Year Eve’s weekend & this was our first time at Riley Ridge Cabins. We stayed at the Cozy Cub Cabin & it was exactly what we wanted! Upon arriving by GPS ( we live 2 hrs away) you have to really look for the Cabins sign to turn up the gravel road. I think if the sign was a bit bigger & lit during night hours that would help. Glad we drove our truck with 4-wheel drive because it’s very steep. Once we got to the cabin I was very satisfied with everything! It’s super cute, quaint, secluded & clean. I have no complaints at all!! They supply all you need. Just bring your clothes & food. The hot tub was amazing! Clean & comfortable bedding, pillows. Lots of towels. They have bundles of firewood right as you turn up to the cabin. You just leave cash for it. We didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit because of rain. But, it’s a nice area with a little pond. Make sure & leave a comment in the guest book & play along with The $ Bill Game. We will definitely be back when it’s warmer. We ate at the Millstone Bbq & it was good. Can’t wait to return with another couple to stay in the bigger cabin!! Enjoy & great job RILEY RIDGE CABINS!! Missy & Donny King

We stayed at Bear Hugs, a Riley Ridge cabin. Cabin was nice and clean. However, we specifically looked for 2 things- a hot tub and a gas grill. The grill ran out of propane and the spare tank was also empty. Many lights either didn't work or were missing bulbs completely, including the hot tub light. Since we had no propane, we had to use the stove. All of the burners didn't work. || After we got home, we emailed the owners about the issues. They took no responsibility for the issues and didn't apologize for any of it, just thanked us for letting them know. || I would not stay there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone interested.

We stayed at the Cozy Cub cabin for two nights and loved every minute of it! The inside was definitely cozy and very clean and welcoming. The smell walking in was just a very woodsy smell, very pleasant! It was well stocked with everything you would need, just bring food! I had brought a couple of towels with us just in case as most places really don't have enough towels, but not here, holy cow there were an abundance of towels, seriously, I didn't count but there had to be 20+! The bed was really comfy with a weighted blanket that added to the comfort and 4 not flat pillows, yay! The deck out back had amazing views whether in the hot tub or sitting at the table, it was just beautiful! The fire pit area provided awesome views out there as well. There were some things not perfect so I'll explain because this is a review that needs the good and the bad. But even the imperfections weren't big enough to ruin our time at all, we loved the place. The porch and deck could have used a good sweeping. The controls on the grill were a little wonky, I could only get the temp up to about 350 but it still cooked our chicken and steak! The hot tub was slightly dirty but nothing that the net and a chlorine tablet (in the closet lol) couldn't fix! The bathtub plug for the drain just would not work at all, but a wadded up grocery sack in the drain worked perfectly lol. There wasn't phone service in the cabin, but walking up the drive would pick up a signal in various spots, no problem for us though, we didn't want to be on our phones. The pond was more of a big puddle lol but the water level did look low. It still provided water wildlife so we didn't mind. I know some have complained about the steep drive, and it is very steep, but it wasn't undrivable at all for our van, in snow or heavy rain a 4 wheel drive would definitely be safer but their website does advise it anyways. That's it for the negative in our experience! I would highly recommend this cabin. It was beautiful inside and out, great price, absolute seclusion, and lots of wildlife, including a friendly doggo named Scout! Thank you Riley Ridge for the wonderful accomodations!
