I understand that this is discount hotel. However, we stayed here after hiking the Grand Canyon specifically to take a shower. There was no hot water for the duration of our stay. Around 7pm I told the front desk clerk. He reassured me the hot water was down but it was being worked on and it would be back up within the hour. Otherwise, I would have moved hotels. We never had hot water for the duration of our stay 1 night stay. Expedia reached out on my behalf to request a refund. The hotel would not give any refund. Also there is barely any light and the room and very few outlets. The only good thing is its proximity to the Grand Canyon. We will never stay here again.

Positive: Location, staff willing to leave us a key for late arrival. Negative: Room was very small. Toilet and shower were on one side of the room, sink was on the other. The TV, microwave , and frig did not work. Not many outlets.

Check in was a breeze. Room was alright at best. Clean sheets thankfully. But stains on the carpet, slightly damp carpet guessing from the fridge being unplugged, tape holding the bottom of the door together and the printed room numbers held up by packing tape on the door. A little run down.

We had to stop here at 1am to get a room because I was extremely sick on our trip out west. The staff was extremely accommodating and the rooms were nice for our short stay.

This is not a clean place. Our room had not been vacuumed before we arrived. The only reason I even gave 2 stars is due to the beauty near Kanab. The carpet, curtains and walls were stained and dirty. I stayed in 9 bookings this trip and this was the worst. I know the owner will have snappy retort but this is bad.

Redrock country inn in kanab ut BEWARE the motel was run down they do not maintain, the beds are terrible, the actual didn't work in one room they were going to put us in, the light flickered on and off manager lied to me about refund of 2nd room that I did not book and that he would call me back. STAY AWAY from this place!!! No safe not honest

The rooms are definitely dark so it is a little hard to judge how clean they were. There arent nightstands on both sides of the bed which is inconvenient because I always have my phone water and glasses right beside me. The bed was pretty comfortable. The curtains had holes and would not stay closed, I had to take a couple hair clips Id brought with me to keep them closed so people couldn't see in. Also there is a window in the bathroom with no curtains whatsoever which I found uncomfortable. The TV isn't hooked up to cable or something was wrong because the remote would not work with the television and said that we had to go to the front desk to ask for a different TV remote and we just said the heck with it and didn't have TV
I think the extra $20 a night they charge for pets is absurd. I didn't realize they charged that much until after we had checked into the room and noticed on the bottom of the paper saying that there was a fee for pets. My husband went up to the desk after seeing that and told them that we had a dog. The person working the desk said he couldn't charge us we had to wait until some other guy came back. He said to come back in 15 minutes which we did and the other guy still wasn't back. So we waited about another half hour and went to try to pay again and the other guy still wasn't back and we were wanting to go to bed and told the guy at the desk I don't know what you want us to do we have tried to pay the pet fee but we've had a long day and we are going to bed and he just told us not to worry about it so we get settled into bed and the guy was finally back and he has the nerve to come knock on our door after we said we were going to bed to ask us to come over and pay the fee. As cooperative as we tried to be about the whole ordeal you would have thought he would have said I'm sorry never mind don't worry about the fee but no he came and got us out of bed to come pay it, that seemed incredibly rude and unprofessional
