Such a unique place on an island next to the bridge and river! We enjoyed it all; the view of the boats on the river, delicious food and specialty drinks! We scored an outside table that allowed us to watch the boats being lifted and dry docked. Not something you get to see everyday.
Loved the apps, fish tacos, chicken sandwich, and fish sandwiches!

Best place and ambiance to eat! Even had plenty of gluten free options.
Our server, Steven, made our experience even better! He thought about everything, remembered our complicated orders, was so patient with us, AND went under the deck of the restaurant to get my CC that fell!
Truly impressed by the 5 star service - and although I haven’t spent much time in Pittsburgh, I can’t imagine a place with a better view to have dinner here.

First thing’s first: Skylar was a fantastic server, no notes, no crumbs.
Second: What a great place to spend the evening after a long hot summer day. The Spicy Pineapple margarita was delightfully balanced! Crab cakes were rich, delicious, and worth savoring every bite. Ahi Poke salad was surprisingly light and refreshing given the large portion size (yes, yes I shamelessly finished it all). The casual riverside atmosphere was only elevated by an impeccable playlist. Simply put: great tunes (The Knocks, YoSoyMatt, Remi Wolf) made for a great patio experience. I left feeling full (important!), content, and excited for my next visit.

Our party of two chose Redfin Blues for its great outdoor dining and reputation for its exceptionalism in quality, service, ambience and location convenient to us as residents in the Strip District.

Our waiter Steven was exceptional, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, attentive, patient, understanding, courteous, gracious, thoughtful and, above all, having the gift of an extraordinary sense of humor. All other staff that we encountered are equally professional, courteous and kind, including the bartender, Amber, who waited on us while we waited for our table.

The food was superb, well prepared, and presented artfully and in good taste.

Our sincere gratitude, appreciation and thankfulness to the owner, chief, our waiter Steven, Amber and other staff members, all of whom deserve the best of comments from all customers who know the value and are able to appreciate the quality of the services the Staff provides at a level that is truly above and beyond the commonplace with exceptionally prepared appetizers and entrees.

first time visiting the restaurant. we were seated right away and our waitress took our drink order quickly. I've read some reviews that the drinks are weak, but ours were excellent. the staff didn't seem like they were going rush us at all, which was nice. we ordered fried calamari for the table, which was good. lobster roll, pasta dishes, and tuna tacos. everything was good (maybe the lemon pasta was a tad too lemony). the only surprise was the fact that they don't have dessert.
we saw other tables relaxing. again, no one seemed to be in a rush.

The food and atmosphere were great, which makes it even more disappointing that the experience was overshadowed by issues with the bill. Right off the bat, they refused to split the check between our three parties—which, as someone who works in the restaurant industry, I know is a standard and manageable request. That was frustrating.

Even more concerning were the hidden fees. A gratuity of over 20% was automatically added, along with a separate “convenience fee,” all without clearly communicating this upfront. We were a party of only eight, and had already tipped generously without realizing we were being double-charged. It felt misleading and left a bad impression.

Great food can’t make up for feeling taken advantage of. I hope the restaurant reconsiders how they handle billing transparency and customer service.

My daughter and I recently had a lovely, lovely, lovely long Sunday brunch on the outdoor veranda at Redfin Blues.

We've long enjoyed the atmosphere at this restaurant--it's right on the water and the staff has a relaxed "island" mentality (in the middle of the city of Pittsburgh). For these reasons alone, we usually try to go a few times a season.

Until now, however, we had not been especially impressed by the food. There had been nothing wrong with it, but it was also nothing special, maybe a little tourist-y? In this last visit, however, they had clearly upped their game. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly suited to the occasion. Even the drinks have been elevated-- yes, they still have party pitchers of familiar margaritas, but they also have craft cocktails that are pretty darned tasty. Even the music playlist they had on in the background was just...lovely.

First visit for a great Girls night out!! Called ahead & we were well informed on wait once our name was added to list. Everyone was so kind,upbeat! By the time we all finished our first drink hanging out at the bar. Our table was ready! We ALL had the lobster rolls. Absolutely delicious..everyone loved them!! It was like being on vacation in our hometown!! We all agreed we would definitely come back. Thanks everyone.
